Its clear you are being racist because race has nothing to do with Kirkland. He is either good or bad, but in his case simply..."he's not ready yet". I have never heard in my 30 plus years of watching boxing where race was used to promote a black, latino, or asian fighter, but we all have heard of the "Great White Hope". From the likes of Gerry Cooney and Tommy Morrison and it really was a shame in the case Gerry Cooney because he was a good fighter who at times beat very good fighters. Cooney achieved an awesome KO over Ken Norton and some great battles with other top heavy weights of his time. Tommy Morrison no doubt had talent but he was pushed way too fast before he could develop himself into a great fighter. Case in point, he fought Ray Mercer when he was only 22 years old. Ray Mercer was Champion of the World and a former Olympic Gold Medalist. Clearly Morrison's people were either thinking of money or were blinded and delusional hoping for a "Great White Hope" instead of developing a promising fighter with a good left hook.
Boxing is a gladiator sport and gladiators are a race of their own. They come in all shapes, colors, and sizes...from different types of backgrounds, countries, and cultures. Only a narrow minded person who knows NOTHING about boxing would say such comments as you have made. Do us all a favor and keep quiet.....GREEN!!!!!

I am glad you noticed that I wasn't trying to be racist. Join my "Don't want to be a racist but..." campaign, my friend, you will not regret it.
White European fighters>Black fighters.
Don't want to be racist though. My favorite animal is the black Panther, I like Pernell Whitaker, and my name is actually something an African American poster said in the lounge. So i'm not racist. White power!

Solis was badly hurt, wobbled and knocked out by a beautiful hard half uppercut/half hook counter punch. He never saw the punch coming. The temple shot fucked up Solis' equilibrium, disoriented him and made BOTH his legs turn to jelly.
Vitali's Ironfist shattered Solis' glass temple in the 1st round.
Vitali Klitschko: "I was inside the ring and I saw many, many times on video - the fight, and there is only one clear answer. I prepared the punch, half uppercut/half hook. I prepared this punch and I feel that I hit him pretty hard. Solis was knocked out, what happened after that, where he breaks his ligaments or his knee - it's his problem. I'm sorry the fight was so short. The next fight, I promise not to hit my opponent for the first three rounds, and then I'll knock him out. With Solis there are no excuses, this was a knockout punch"

Kirkland and Jacobs are just two recent examples.
Im black and im saying I agree with you...... Back in the 80s and 70s and before it used eb that mentality..... Since 80s and foward everyone has caught up and its no longer African Americans dominating the sport...... Its more universal now in terms of the talent.. And also the Blakc Fighters now don't fight hard like they used back in those times. To me the majority of black fighters seem soft now as opposed to they old age fighters.........
But also I agree that alot of these black fighters such as Berto and Kirkland get hyped up to be these "Next Gen Superstars" yet they don't fight top competition to soldify their claims and then they get exposed by guys that can beat them and expose them of their defecencies to where prior they seem invincible but then they are shown to be very amueterish.....Basically they appear better than what they truly are for the most part.
But not all of them fall under this category...... But alot do......

That happens with all races. On these boards if a fighter has one impressive win he can/will destroy everyone.
