Just watched some clips of the fight. David looked like he wasn't as fit as he usually is, and was way overconfident for a young guy that hasn't really fought anyone. He can bounce back from this, probably with a new trainer.

Great night for Rubio, cong**** to him.

      Lemieux had no experience.

95% of his fights were stopped before 5 minutes...

He was fighting a guy who has 60 fights including many 10 and 12 rounds...And Rubio can punch...They overlooked him, I'm not surprised.

he blew his load and didn't have a contingency plan in case it was a tough fight. rubio, you don't know what you're going to get, so it's easy for a fighter to think that since he's been sparked before that it would be easy to do, but then again rubio has been in some wars and taken great shots.

either way, lemiuex has had it easy and he finally stepped up in competition and found out that he needs another dimension to his game. this should be a good learning experience.

i too at first thought that his corner should've given him a little bit more, but he was done, he was gassed, didn't know how to fight tired or in trouble, rubio was hurting him, and a guy that can punch as hard as rubio, it was wise to stop it and give lemiuex another chance at his career, rubio punches hard enough that if left defenseless lemiuex could've really gotten hurt.

            Bit of shock.

That's when all those early KO's come back and bite you.
