Why did Mosley Fail to Impress?

We all know the greatness that Mosley once demonstrated. Where the hell did that go? Should he drop weight and perhaps we'll be seeing him kick ass once again? I have to tell you all; that was one boring ass fight. It really was. I like Sugar Shane even though I still don't understand why he won't use his damn jab enough. It's there for you, you can use it to set up combos and stuff. He just rocks back and forth, setting up, setting up...nope, don't need this here great jab of mine...I'll just hang here, where I can easily hit this guy right now with a variety of punches but for whatever reason I'm not going to do that....and no, I'm not going to jab. Maybe I can knock him out with this punch. *Blam!!* Nope, didn't work that time either. Let me set up again, here we go, setting up, setting up. Does anyone know why he insists on doing that? Does anyone know why he thinks he can drop guys with one shot when they've been taking his best punches all night and walk through em? Anyone, anyone at all? Shane if you're out there...give a shout. Jab killa, combos. You can do it! Peace.

I don't think that's a very fair assessment of that fight.

Shane was in with a tall strong durable fighter who was akward and clinched a lot.

He won nearly every round in my book.

Just because he didn't score a KO doesn't mean he didn't clearly win the fight.

You're not going to see Shane destroying and knocking out credible top ten welterweights. He doesn't carry the one punch KO power at Welter.

Get used to it.

Was this fight similar to the one against Estrada? I saw that one and thought that Shane was not the same guy of old. I don't think the guy is shot or anything. I think that he is going for a style that does not suit him. He is facing naturally bigger guys, yet, he thinks that he will Ko them clean like they were lightweights. I think he has to throw more combinations and never forget his body attack. If he wants Ko's, the body is the key.

I haven't seen the fight either but at the end of the day all I care about is a win. This cruz guy was naturally bigger, and Shane Mosley probably could of KO'd him (that is what I heard). Cruz came to fight, he wasn't a slouch, he was a good undefeated fighter.

Both fights lately (Estrada and Cruz) have been vs. very awkward guys. He is going to demolish a guy like Zab I promise and He will be undisputed welterweight champion of the world. Mark my words.

Mosley is a brave guy with the potential to cause a stir in the division. I think he could beat Judah but not Margarito. Time will tell.

I think it's just a case of Mosley falling in love with his power (again). When I see the fight i'll make better assumptions but like everyone's saying he's not using his jab to set up his power punches. Hes been known to have a quick jab, I don't know why he's not using it.

I see such a waste of his abilities in the style of fighting he's adopted the last several fights. I'm not demanding he knock guys out but I know he can accumulate punches aggressively when he wants too and frankly it frustrates me when he gives opponents opportunities they haven't earned, he's just giving them the chance to lead. He seems to give his opponents so much time to recover when he has the clear advantage and can just kick their asses if he wants to but he doesn't seem to want to.

Bozo, Mosley did win decidedly and took almost every round without a doubt but this guy has a mere fraction of Mosley's abilities, is slower than erosion and he's still there at the end with his arms raised like he won and now it's in the hands of the judges and we all know how flawless a judges perception is of boxing matches. I don't ever want to see Mosley get robbed but **** happens in boxing and if Mosley can't put some of these credible welterweights away then perhaps he's in the wrong weight class. With his ability and drive he should be able to put some, not all but some away. I'm not saying he can't win at this weight but he's not doing himself any good.
