Floyd doesn't have a win over an ATG in his prime. Neither does Wladimir. But Pacquiao does. Take the hint and realize whose era it was.

Floyd fought 49 times, had 49 victories, no losses, no draws. His career spanned 19 years, he was never dropped on the canvas, and he was never dominated. Every time he was hurt he came back to dominate. He beat guys by brawling, by jabbing, by being defensive, by using his intelligence. If you ever want to teach a young fight proper technique you will have him study Floyd.
All that said, he managed to make the most money, he became a promoter and did it all on his own terms. No bloodsucking Arum or King. Not of it. He's the best I've ever seen.

I'm always wary of the word 'prime' used in reference to athletes. It's so subjective & malleable, and therefore seems like a way for fans to qualify a loss/poor performance. Classic example with Floyd/Pac. I thought the fight was boring with neither fighter completely dominating the other. But I would never argue that the outcome would be different if they fought in their "prime". In what? '09?
Then there'd be qualifiers like, pac had just been through consecutive wars, Floyd's retirement affected him, should've fought before Floyd hurt his hands, should've fought at a lower weight, type of gloves, the world promotional tour was too distracting, and on & on.
Floyd schooled many fighters who trained their hardest, and walked in certain that they were going to win. That's as close to an objective sense of prime as it gets. Otherwise, it's just layer upon layer of qualifiers.
There are times when a fighter steps in the ring feeling prime, and times where they don't. If a fighter's prime was graphed over a career, I'd bet that it would look less like a bell curve, and more like a wave pool.
In sum, Floyd fought lots of dudes in their prime--and shutout most of them.

For me its like a race, would Lewis Hamilton get credit for winning a race If he got to have a minute head start?
I don't think so, people see through this stuff and this brings me to the point that Floyd has done a lot of pathetic hand picking of stipulations to favour him and these are as said totally pathetic and unnecessary.
I feel bad for Floyd fans who need to defend him, honest isn't a word some of these guys have heard of because they sure as hell know they're lying to themselves lol.
So many holes in his resume. Floyd fans keep patching it up.. but still it leaks.
no one to blame but floyd himself tsk tsk tsk..
