If you ever want to teach a young fight proper technique you will have him study Floyd.

All that said, he managed to make the most money, he became a promoter and did it all on his own terms. No bloodsucking Arum or King. Not of it. He's the best I've ever seen.
This. Floyd wasn't even in his prime when he beat Pacquiao, Cotto and Canelo. People seem to think the guy doesn't age but everyone else does.

No matter what, only one ever boxer has gone where Floyd has gone (49-0). And that guy only beat 7 world champions. What Floyd has done is unheard of, in combat sports period.

He went into war 49 times and not once was he put to the floor or exited a ring with a busted up face. No one can name another fighter, ever, who has done that.

The problem is, people want their personal fighting preferences to be the greatest. They want someone who they enjoy watching to be the best fighter of all time, when even in reality they are not. Accept the facts.

Floyd is the best to ever do it.

ODLH was old doe, Mosley was old doe, Pac was old doe....they think Mayweather is a black highlander or something.....he is older than Manny but some idiots on here said he waited him out lol.....Dude hasn't seen his prime since around 07-09 lol and has beat nothing but former/current champions during his comeback in 09.....several of them will be in the hall of fame....Manny, Cotto, Mosley, Marquez and if Canelo stays consistent and dedicated he may make it too

          when it comes to boxing,

its the miles on the car rather than the year of the car. pacquiao has had more fights, traversed more weight classes, has had more wars than floyd while floyd's entire career has been carefully guided by top rank then when he blew up, used his fame he got from oscar to cherry pick independently without arum.

          fact still stands:

          1. Floyd's best win is diego corrales, a guy not a legit hall of famer.

          2. Floyd has never faced a legit hall of fame fighter who was in their prime. all the great names on floyd's resume where all past prime.

The problem isn't that you listed #2 its that the prime legit HOF'ers during Floyd's time-ODH, Shane, Manny, Kosta, all waited or refused to fight him.

It's like someone 5 years from now looking at GGG's resume, saying there are no prime HOF'ers on it (true) but not pointing out how much he was avoided.

but that's not the case tho.

GGG never had floyd's name recognition or history with his family. GGG is a knock out artist without a firm fanbase. he's high risk healthwise, and low reward.

Floyd has always been floyd, a guy who doesnt hurt people but outpoints them. Floyd is high risk but he's a famous name that doesnt ko people. Prize fighters dont duck money men like floyd who dont posses ko threat.

This whole notion that everybody ducked floyd is just not true. Floyd has always been the crown ***el whenever he fought anybody not named oscar (at that time the ppv king).

You guys bash arum for protecting fighters but somehow conveniently arum controlled floyd's career.

Your opinion of EVERYBODY DUCKING A FAMOUS FIGHTER WHO IS THE CROWN ***EL OF ARUM'S STABLE CONSIDERING HE'S A GREAT FCKING FIGHTER, is just that, an opinion.

Just know, professional prize fighters dont duck money men in boxing. Its the money men in boxing that duck due to them being money men and not wanting to risk their status.

I get people not wanting to fight a knockout artist who has no name on his resume and a still developing fanbase.

I dont get ducking a star boxer who outpoints his opponents and never hurts them.

              try again.

Isnt roach a legendary trainer? should have done his job and improved on what he was lacking....which is defense and cutting off the ring, and punching off the back foot....he had all those 2+ fight series with people because he struggled and cant adjust.....face it.....dude had still cant cut off a ring lol

I've heard it all.....you do realize since 09 he has beat 3-5 possible hall of famers smdh

Yea, it was so carefully guided that he faced a guy with twice as Many fights in his first title fight at age 21 lol....it must suck trying to dispute facts, with regurgitating the same thing you heard some "expert" say

by age 25 he was lineal in 2 divisions with 11 total defenses of them and beat the number one guy at 130 and 135

                these are facts bro

By his 34 fight he was lineal in 2 divisions and won a major title at a 3rd

has beat more champions and hall of famers than anyone in his era

sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.....when Hatton, Chico, Genaro Hernandez, or Hatton make the hall what will be the excuse then...none of them were shot at in their prime and riding streaks

these guys are definitely more deserving of placement over ho hum Gatti, McGuigan, and Ray freaking Mancini.....all them guys get blitzed by jlc and chico at 130-135

                  stop frontin.

everybody has titles now with the ubiquitous way boxing organizations pop up with their ubiquitous titles. It wasnt like back then when one division had one title, one champion.

ITS WHO YOU FIGHT AND WHEN YOU FIGHT THEM THAT MATTERS, not belts.

You being a floyd fan should know that, floyd told you that. belts dont matter amirite floyd????

Dumb n*ggas STILL can't find an ATG in his Prime on Floyd's resume. Stop spewing ass about HOFers 7 years past their best.

                    End this thread.

As someone posted earlier Mayweather has fought a lot of fighters that were viewed as top 10 in the whole sport at the time he fought them.
