Ok...I promised you a more legit VK thread.....

where everyone can participate... much more simple.. since we're discussing Vitali's 2 blemishes on his record. We KNOW they're losses in his records.

What I want to know is how do you think both fights would've transpired if we took away or stitched up the cuts during the Lewis fight & repaired his shoulder during the Byrd fight... let's for all intents & purposes continue both bouts at the point of the cut & when the shoulder gave out. We know exactly when his cut occurred vs Lewis & that was the opening of the 3rd rd. We don't know exactly when Vitali's shoulder gave out.. it was most likely a slow process during the fight & started really bothering him in the last round or two. so let's pick it up from rd 8 & The Lewis fight from rd 3 right at the bell to signal the respective rds.

What do you think would've progressed from there based on what happened in the previous rds? For Lewis it's the first 2 rds & for Byrd it's the first 7 rds. These are essentially the first 9 rds when Vitali was relatively on even ground with both fighters. He fought 2 more rds vs Byrd & 4 more vs Lennox with his injuries..what would've happened without them based on the action before he got hurt?

He would have smashed Byrd, nobody can fight with a dislocated shoulder. That same shoulder injury was what retired him for four years, that's how long it took to heal up. Lewis, he'd have battered Lewis in the rematch and if the eye hadn't had been opened up with those illegal shots he'd have KO'd Lewis in the first fight. Lewis knew a rematch was a no no.

What would happen if my aunt had balls? She'd be my uncle and we wouldn't even be having this conversation. There's your answer.

Just to correct you.. Vitali retired because of various injuries to his knees & back as well while training to annihilate Hasim Rahman. I agree that he would've steadily broken down Lewis & got his customary beatdown knockout. Lewis showed that he can weather the storm so I don't believe Vitali would've dispatched him in the next couple of rds but definitely would've had him out of there by the 9th or 10th rds as he was just connecting with too many punches in the first 2 rds.

As for Byrd... I disagree.. I think Byrd was proving to be evasive.... but then again all 12 rds with 2 perfect shoulders.. it's a 50/50 proposition Byrd makes it to the final bell while winning one.. maybe 2 rds tops because of his stellar D.

Nice...the old aunt/uncle gender joke.... how original but pretty clever to get out of answering the question with honesty.... There's a reason that I POSTED this & that is to see whether a hater can swallow his pride & admit what was most likely to happen. I'm sure i won't get one hater to admit that VK was having his way with both fighters & other than turning the tide..the fights were his to lose.....funny i say that as that is what essentially happened.

Nobody got dropped here.. so this doesn't equate.. we're talking about cuts & dislocated shoulders. To answer your question anyways.... he would've stayed on his feet.
