Pretty low connect rate for both fighters, Pavlik probably landed more in their fight in 7 than Hopkins landed in both 12 round fights.

I think in both of the 1st rounds neither landed any punches at all.

Well, the term is thrown around so loosely these days SprayResistant. Including by the fighters themselves. I just wanted to know what the fans felt about it. (Responding to your post from page 1.)

you are shot when u lose to fighters u have no business losing to. rjj losing to tarver is one thing but losing to glen johnson??? he was shot. nothing against glen johnson but hes at least 2 levels below a prime rjj.

mosely drawing with mora tells me hes pretty much had it. the names guys like whitaker, chavez, tommy hearns etc. lost to at the tail ends of their careers. they were all shot.

Being shot is simply not being able to compete at the same level you once did. To watch DLH fight vs Steve Forbes is a great example. He could still beat someone like Forbes but he was shot.

He was a fraction of what he used to be and it was a shame looking at him in this way. Roach saw it, everyone who watches enough boxing saw it.

Now, DLH wasn't DONE, as in he couldn't defend himself but he was shot.

This isn't the only definition of shot, but I think when I a fighter gets KO'd more than once he should call it quits. And I don't mean stoppages where the guy is getting dominated and the fights stopped, sometimes fighters have a bad night. But if you've been knocked out cold or KO'd where your senses aren't there (like Montiel after the 1st Donaire knock down) more than once you should hang it up. Most of these fighters skills erode immediately after multiple KOs. And we're all starting to learn more about multiple concussions long term effects.

For example, Jermain should have been forced to retire after the Froch KO. It should have been forced on him. Instead he comes back to suffer a 3rd KO to Abraham that I'm sure will effect him down the line.

It was a 12th round tko to abraham. Deja vu is what the commentators called it. Look it up you'll see.

When they start to lose OFTEN. Roy Jones is a good example. After his first loss, he started to lose OFTEN. Shot fighter.

12th ko to Abraham. I'm drunk and I know that. Maybe I should have an alt called Drunken Master 2000.

the way hopkins didnt have any of the foot work he normally does against pascal is a shot fighter or atleast a fighter thets on a major down hill slide. by the way i thought hopkins won that fight but it was all his experiance and skill thet carried him and not his physical attributes
