has there ever been a p4p #1 who fights unranked contenders the whole time?

Pacquiaos resume isn't as great as people make it out to be, most of his best wins are fighters coming off losses within their last few fights.

Both fighters have fought ranked fighters, Judah lost to Baldomir not a journeyman, Baldomir and Judah were both ranked. this is a dumb thread tying to down play.two of the best fighters of our generation. Mayweather has fought three p4p ranked boxers in his last three.

You're thinking of Andre Berto. But most people don't think of him as #1 p4p. (Or wait. Did you mean Lucian Bute?)

De la hoya was light middleweight champ, Baldomir was WBC and IBA Welter champ, Judah kept his IBF strap because Baldomir couldn't afford the sanctions for all three of his belts, so Floyd fought Judah for the IBF and vacant IBO title. And sharmba was his first Welter fight, sharmba was 56-4 at the time and highly ranked

The P4P #1 who fought the weakest opposition is Roy Jones. The biggest cherry picker of all time.

if I'm.gonna.mention belts gotta mention them all still was WBC champ, and no sharmba wasnt ranked high?, lol it don't matter anyways because it was Floyd debut at Welter and he wasn't p4p number 1, sharmba was coming off his first Welter bout, won a title, they didn't fight for it though.
