Haha wow people are really dum if they try to dis credit seguras win both where two diffrent scenarios. In the calderon segura match segura was the underdog and calderon was the undeafeated lineal champ who had never lost.
the rafa fight is a whole diffrent lopez was the overwhelming favorite fighting the marquez who had just moved up in weight wasnt champ and had come out of 3 wars something calderon was never apart of.

Yeah I mean I have to be honest I thought it a bit of a joke the 1st time and really thought Caldy would school another come forward fighter easily, I was surprised to say the least.

Yea like i said calderon was the favorite thats what makes seguras win so great bc he was the underdog who people though would get beat. And now people make all types of excuses that he is old and small but before they werent saying anything. But he made calderon quit and you cant compare that to the lopez fight where every knew he would win. And if a rematch is made its bull.

Agreed the two fights are not comparable, Rafa though tough and hard hitting is shop worn and was favored to lose while Calderon was a heavy favorite. I think he can credit both this time, Segura for being a gentleman and rematching him since Ivan gave him the shot in the 1st place and Calderon being a warrior going to the champs turf to trying take the title back straight off of a ko loss by that very fighter.

Yeah all props for calderon for taking the fight. But honestly i feel its a pointless rematch just like rafa vs lopez like they have discussed. Segura was winning on the cards and knocked him out and was conclusive. The only time i would liketo see a rematch would be if the fight was close or their was contraversy. Well most people thought segura was a crude brawler with no skills that wouldnt be able to land on calderon. Thats what the majority of people where saying on here thats why people are coming up with excuses of why calderon lost. But he was the favorite by alot.

most doesnt mean i was included. i had calderon winning but when i saw him fight the week after cotto-foreman i know he would be in for a long night vs segura. again i still had him winning but i didnt think he was gonna shut him out now.

Yeah but my point was that calderon was the favorite no matter what. But most of your fellow posters event the neutral ones where choosing calderon which makes the victory great and bc he did something nobody else had done and that was that he took his undefeated record.
