Most deceiving title defense streaks

I can't blame him or not going to Germany to fight Ottke, but what do Roy and Hop have to do with his run at all, they were in different weight classes.

Its also very easy to call Lacy overrated after the fact but many ppl thought he would beat Joe, just bump some old threads if you don't believe me.

1. Some people claim it was Hopkins & Jones fault the fights didn't happen sooner. Mostly the delusion british fans. If Joe really wanted that fight back in their primes, he would have been undisputed way sooner. Why not fight Ottke on neutral turf in europe like Kessler-Froch? Joe would have gave him a beating similar to Lacey & Kesslar IMO, so I don't know how the judges could have robbed him. They couldn't get away with it. How do you have 2 20+ defenses fighters in the same division and not fight? That's absolutely ridiculous.

2. It's an overrated win though. Lacey never did ***** after that. I say the same thing about Pavlik-Hopkins.

He waited until the very last second to do it. If he really wanted Roy & Hopkins attention he would have did it sooner. Not waited until an overrated American takes a belt and just expose him with his speed. He's a natural born cherry picker.

Maybe he never did anything as a result of some damage physical or mental that was done from that fight. Its possible but it's not fact. Lacey was just a good physical presence. He was probably going to lose to the next fast boxer he fought anyway. Kessler would have whooped him too.

hopkins had 16 out of his 20 title defenses against top 10 rated opponents. he also fought everyone who was rated number 1 through out his reign(except simon who went to jail right after becoming number 1) how is that deceiving?

Even before he fought Joe he struggled with C- level fighters...I never understood what anyone saw in him. Dude couldn't even win a round against a shot old ass Roy Jones lol...
