And if Cintron would've acted normal instead of being a drama queen, he may have knocked Williams out because he was hitting Williams with the same kind of punches that Martinez landed on him in both fights. And Cintron in all fairness is a garbage fighter. People overrate him based on his win over Angulo. But he was getting beat up in the last three rounds and it was well documented that Angulo was sick leading up to that fight. So the fact that Williams really didn't even beat him in a lot of peoples' eyes make him a question mark.
With the fight against Margarito, I think the inactivity (ring rust) of Margarito caused him to put up a flat performance and he still beat Williams in all the late rounds outside of the twelfth. But Paul didn't even win that all that convincingly.
not to sound like a broken record, but you skipped over the Sergio Martinez win. Even if it was a close fight, there has to be something there for taking a top 4 pfp fighter all the way like that.

Pwill was beginning to get in his rhythm vs cintron for sure and he's a rhythm fighter.

DID THE WHOLE BOXING WORLD FORGET ABOUT PAUL WILLIAMS VS PRIME ANTONIO MARGARITO??? Williams got caught against Sergio, whats the big deal? Roberto Duran got caught by Thomas Hearns, whats the big deal? Nobody *****ed on him.

Williams is still the 2nd best middleweight PERIOD(whatever jr bull***** you wanna put on it). One loss does not change that. Kirkland needs to prove he can beat an A level fight before he's a favorite in that fight and Angulo don't bring nothing to the table that PRIME Margarito brung.

I'm not saying they don't have a chance because I love James Kirkland he's one of my top favorite fighters right now but to say he's favored against Williams and would break him is ridiculous.

Meh, so was Cotto but he's still fighting strong. Everybody thought the beating at the hands of Margarito had him finished. Still put up a war against Clottey who actually wanted to fight back that night. Then Pac beat him up pretty badly, still came back strong against Foreman and Mayorga.

He's no ATG great fighter but it's all about heart. With the right attitude and the right training(tightening up on defense, use a little more reach too his advantage) and he'll be back. That's just one thing you can't take away from warriors like Williams, Cotto, and Kasiditis. They might catch a beating every now and then but they'll always come back with a vengence.
          I agree 100 percent..

Im not sure why people feel like getting KO'd is an embarrassment. Some people on here have taken the Williams KO to the extreme and its a shame. Boxers get caught, Williams got caught. Cotto got caught. Hearns got caught. **** happens. "sexy Sergio" (and I want you all to know that its real gay for another man to religiously call another man sexy) got clapped too. I guess selective memory works wonders

Williams will be back. His biggest flaw was his defense, and EVERYONE knew that. A blind man could see that his defense was terrible. All he has to do is learn to keep his hands up, tweak his jab and he will be back to form.

And regardless if people felt that Williams won or lost the first Martinez fight, he gave Martinez the hardest fight is his CAREER that night, make no mistakes about it. Bums dont give a top p4p fighters a hard ass night. Good fighters, however, do.

How is Williams the 2nd best middleweight?

He has no significant victories at middleweight.

This shouldn't be a surprise. The posters on this site love to hype up prospects when they beat nobodies and discredit fighters when they lose against world class fighters. They also throw you to the wolves when you lose a fight.
