Late last week people(most ignorant european haters) were trying to say some british prospect could hurt him. Now people are saying Kirkland and Angulo are favored to beat him.

DID THE WHOLE BOXING WORLD FORGET ABOUT PAUL WILLIAMS VS PRIME ANTONIO MARGARITO??? Williams got caught against Sergio, whats the big deal? Roberto Duran got caught by Thomas Hearns, whats the big deal? Nobody *****ed on him.

Williams is still the 2nd best middleweight PERIOD(whatever jr bull***** you wanna put on it). One loss does not change that. Kirkland needs to prove he can beat an A level fight before he's a favorite in that fight and Angulo don't bring nothing to the table that PRIME Margarito brung.

I'm not saying they don't have a chance because I love James Kirkland he's one of my top favorite fighters right now but to say he's favored against Williams and would break him is ridiculous.

I agree to a certain extent. He has to come back and prove he can still take a punch, imo. He's taken a lot of damage over the span over 5-7 fights or so.

and just for the record I was favoring kirkland to beat williams before kirkland went into prison and before williams was KO'd. As of right now, Kirkland isn't ready, he needs a lot more work and time training to get back into true form (so williams SHOULD be favored against both RIGHT NOW).

I personally think he's finished at top level. We haven't seen him fight since but he relied so much on being able to take a punch that being flattened in the early rounds the way he was by Martinez is far more devastating for him than most other fighters. He isn't much of a boxer as we saw in one of Williams's more hesitant efforts against Quintana the first time, it was his daring approach of throwing combination upon combination that won him the fights. We will likely never see that again from him.

Duran was actually a skilled slick boxer who actually had defense. That is why nobody forget duran.

Paul williams chin got severly exposed and he also has 0 defense and has no skills. add the fact that martinez dropped paul williams in the first fight with the same punch. Paul williams was always a k.o waiting to happen just like kirkland.

And marg is a bad example. Dude got knocked the **** by shane and now got labeled as a bum since it was his chin was his main defense.

Exactly. I love Kirkland to death but he ain't ready for Williams. He definitely has a chance in this fight, he's one of my top 5 favorite fighters as he's been in my sig for months now but it's ridiculous to favor Kirkland at this point just because of 1 loss since he has just come out of jail and hasn't beaten a top 5 fighter yet. This is why I hate nuthuggers because they can't even be logical but are delusioned by their favorite fighters. Like punk ass tunney.

He just got caught though, he can make adjustments since it's not like he's 30 something. He got caught just like Duran & Jones Jr and Jones was definitely a KO waiting to happen as well once his reflexes slowed just a second. Just seems like people are just being so disrespect to Williams right now just because he loss. It was the same ***** when Cotto got stopped by Margarito.

Margarito is a good example in my eyes because it way before he beat up Cotto so that was when he had the power to "test" his chin whether it was plaster or not Williams still gave him a beating in spots but Margarito came back and made it a little competitive.
