He must follow/support Mayweather to an extent that he can say they spend "so much" time together.

He worked his arse off to get where he is, and boxing is a very dangerous sport. I dont think he owes anyone anything.

Unfortunatly he has the personality of a slug, so he gets a lot of criticism. If he just stfu people wouldnt have such a problem with him.
Couldn't have said it better. I've bought all his PPVs since Baldomir, and I don't feel like he owes me anything. As you said, dangerous sport.

Exactly the type of sucker attitude of the majoirty of floyd's fans. "he didn't need to
fight Margarito, he would have abused him".

Floyd cheats his fans every fight where he
sits out a year, then takes a ppv "tune up" or fights ANOTHER dude that's no threat (hatton 147, zab 147) another no hoper like tata or whoever.

Funny how Floyd fans are on pac's nuts for fighting no hopers.

I admit, he's looked pretty damn good against guys with no chance against him for the last 8 yrs.

        Sad.
        Clown? Read my first post.

I am a boxing fan first, I don't care what happens outside the ring,
Peoples personal lifes don't bother me, He is his own man and he can make his own decisions, Whether I or you agree with them or not it changes nothing nor does it change his ability in the ring.

Yeah maybe he should of fought, Maragrito and Cotto,
His ego got in the way of that so did his wallet he wanted more money and didn't get it.............

Well actually he did when he fought Oscar de la hoya instead of them,
But either way I am not condemning his personal life nor am I condemning his decisions,
His ability in the ring is one of a kind and I respect him for that.

As a boxing fan its difficult not too.
It's like Cristiano Ronaldo in football, he is an absolute twat in his personal life, doesn't take away the fact he is one of the best out there.

I don't get into the personal side of things with any athletes as I or you for that matter don't them,
God knows what goes on in Mayweathers personal life, who's to tell?
Cause he certainly won't tell us either way.

I'm a fan of boxing not drama if I want that, I'll watch some ****** womens show on TV.

Why did people support Mike Tyson?

          We all have personal preferences.

                i consider floyd very entertaining.

it comes down to personal preferance, tyson was entertaining in his way but when hes at his best i prefer floyd. watching his boxing clinics against corrales and genaro hernandez was like watching poetry in motion.

i dont support floyd anymore even though i like watching him fight simply bcuz hes acting like a moron. but so was tyson, thats the previous posters point. ppl supported tyson even when he acted a fool bcuz hes entertaining.

alot of fans like floyds style and are willing to support him despite the way hes acting bcuz of his artistry in the ring. nobody can take world class fighters and completely take them to school like floyd does, no matter what style or attribute hes able to adapt and make them look like bums, thats beautiful to watch.

Let me ask a question? What is the whole point of the thread. You want people to rally against Mayweather? DId he hurt you heart in some fashion?

It sounds ****** to question who a person's a fan of. If you arent a fan anymore then get over the ****. Yall make 40 million threads talkin about how you used to be a Floyd fan. That **** is strange man. And the biggest problem seems to be that he makes a bunch of money and feels like he doesnt owe the fans right? He doesnt owe the fans **** in reality. Atleast not in the realm of his success. The fans didnt run one mile or take one punch. When I support a fighter it is real simple what I think Im owed. If a fighter comes into a fight in shape and makes an effort to win I have no quarrels. Its just a serious problem when you make a rally cry against somebody you dont even know. But....people continue to support fighters who jump out of rings, some who are never in shape and embarass themselves in alternate combat sports, make excuse after excuse, are disrespectful to no end in fight build-ups, load gloves, quit because sweat in their eye, beat 40 bums in a row, bite off ears and drop out of fights with mysterious injuries.

Its cliche to say "I couldnt do it without the fans" so please dont let your chest swell with pride everytime your favorite guy quotes the phrase. We all are fans by choice not chosen by those who's talent we admire. If those same fighters knew half of us they probably wouldnt want you as a fan. LOL. Just about all you that came on here to talk down really trip me out. When it comes to boxers you dont like its all about morality but the **** you have to say on a daily basis is immoral as hell.

Does the boy come to weigh ins in superb shape every time-yes
Does he display good boxing and a will to win everytime-yes
Does he make excuses over and over-no
Is he one of the best to ever do it-yes

Thats enough for me to be a fan. No, I dont suggest he becomes anyone's voice to the media(including his own) but that aint got a damn thing to do with boxing. And even that part has worked out for him. I cant speak for other countries but America is the land of "just shut up and do your job ******" and any athlete of color who breaks that code and happens to be a top guy(or girl) becomes hated here. Just check the record its pretty clear.

3rd understand the real issue is not Mayweather himself, but the myth he and most African American athletes represent.
Another tacky scumbag that sht on his fans.

Yes Floyd doesnt help himself out by trash talking but its all about promo n bizness when when the cameras come on Floyd.
Its more the fact that he will never gives his fans what they want,i for one will not sit idly by and watch him make a mockery of the sport i have loved since a child,i will support guys like Johnson thats fights for his fans.
