How can people support Mayweather

I don't understand the whole "i don't care about what he does or says outside of the ring" etc, "but will support him in it".

What does this mean? You'll support him by paying to watch his fights or you want him to win?

If its the latter, then you must have some kind of emotional attachment to him, even if you dont quite know it.

So I have to care about what he does in and out of the ring to not have an emotional attachment to him?

I guess I just can't be a fan of his and watch him do work when he does fight.

I was never a fan of Floyd's.But to be a fan of Floyd just seems like U have to put him above the entire sport.Because quite frankly his welterweight run was almost laughable.The 2 best fighters on his resume are older versions of good fighters.He's not beaten a fighter deserving of being in the same ring with him since Corrales.Gatti,Sharmba,Baldomir,Judah(after a loss),Marquez at welterweight(without bothering to make weight),Hatton at 147(after Collazo proved he didn't belong).Yeah this dude managed to overhype his way to the top & people actually buy his bull****.Tune-ups simply don't belng on ppv & if Ur not fighting the best,then just don't ****ing fight & if U fight chumps,don't get mad when people tell U about urself.

I hate this whole he owes his fans nothing attitude,if every fighter thought like him boxing would fcking suck.

Thats the funny thing though. Manny is one of the best in boxing right now, if not the best, yet posters here will bash him without mercy and be there to defend Mayweather at every turn.

They are both excellent, but one is put higher then the other.

This isn't specifically directed at you I have just seen this argument made many times about Mayweather.

I mean the come on, the twitter postings that he won 37k or something like that. What a freaking child. Anybody thats ever gambled before knows you gotta loose that 3 times before you win it... now if he won 1+ Mil then post it but 37k... Dude, you make that much a second WHEN you fight....

For all the Mayweather fans that think hes go so much money he can burn it, you're all fools... He spends more than he makes... If he was set up he'd never enter the ring again. That's why he does pathetic stuff like the WWE incident, dancing with the stars and now sinking a ton of money into a 50 cent movie that won't earn a fraction of what they put in it....

The sad thing about Floyd is hes more fooled by his own persona than his fans are.

Its because he only does things out of the ring anymore. He doesn't fight.

He is the most selfish person in boxing. What Mark said is what I hate most about Floyd. The people who supported him his whole life, his fans, are completely disregarded when he gets his fame. He's 34 and still has his boxing abilites yet now the closest thing he does to fighting is betting on fights.

Yet day after day we are on here and there are all these threads defending Mayweather and how he is still better then Pac and this n' that. Who cares what his "skills" are he's not fighting so he is a ****ty boxer. The worst thing a boxer can do is not fight. Not only does Floyd not fight he throws it in our face all the time.

Dlh was twice the cash cow Mayweather ever will be and he fought for his fans constantly love or hate the guy you have to respect an individual like that.

Well I consider them about the same~ so how they get viewed is in the eye of the beholder.

One gets praise lavished on them for everything the other can never do enough, do people reactions really not make sense?

I have done it to prove a point in the past but I do have respect for Manny even if I do find certain things about him over blown but he is certainly worthy of his accolades.

I don't know bout that bro.Manny has twice as much fans as Floyd.His fans throw out red k like entrees & hate on any fighter that is talked about other than Pacman,Most Floyd fans were quit about him,although there are a few ignorant 1's that try to defend his 100 mill demand & Spadafora,but Pacman fans are worst by far because they have the #'s.
