The White Wolf is a generally an entertaining HW(A rarity).

I don't mind this stay busy fight.

I had him beating Briggs before the one-punch miracle.

Not a lot of options out there for Vitali.
    Exactly.

Sadly, some people just don't see that there's not a lot of other options available.

I want to see Dimitrenko face Vitali, but he won't be available until late fall.

Exactly WHO do you think Vitali should fight on June 4?

Could you imagine if there was internet in past ages of boxing:

"Sugar Ray Robinson is a bum because he fought four guys this week nobody ever heard instead of fighting Jake Lamotta this week instead of next."

I never said it was a bad fight, Tunney. Id rather Vitali fight anyone than be inactive for a long time, and Liakhovich will do better than fatboy Solis ever would. Its actually a very smart fight on his part.

He just does fight a lot of fat dudes, its not his fault theyre quality guys in the division. I always think of his McFit commercials...

There's no good reason those guys don't come to fight in better shape.

Just like there no good reason for Sam Peter to have weighed in at nearly 20 pounds heavier than he was for the fight with Wlad last fall for his fight with Helenius tomorrow.

Although Peter is just 6'1", he's more than 20 pounds heavier than the 6'6" Robert Helenius.

But we shouldn't b1tch about Helenius fighting fat guys, because Peter COULD HAVE weighed in at 240 today instead of 260.

inactivity and lack of training ruins a lot of today's heavyweights.

Im even more sure than ever that Helenius will TKO Peter now. I mean really Peter, 260?

Inactivity isn't a problem for Sam Peter, he's had 2 to 5 fights per year (4 in 2009, 5 in 2005). He's had access to one of the best boxing gyms in the world in Las Vegas, and had plenty of very good training there.

His problem is: lack of hunger for success (after the big payday last fall), and too much hunger for food.

Vitali's other opponents had excellent training and were kept active (Arreola, Solis, Gomez) but they lacked self-discipline and motivation.

Hovever, in the case of Lyakhovich, lack of activity really has ruined his career, and probably lack of motivation as well.

                Solis: Vitali's WBC mandatory

I agree Solis is a fat pile of **** but Vitali HAD to fight him.

Lyakhovich really is the best available option for June 4. I'd prefer Povetkin, Boytsov or Dimitrenko, but they are not available.
Yeah, and all those mandatories are a joke! I could list a 1000 mandatories from the past that were unworthy. It's not necessarily the fighters fault but damn, was Briggs a mandatory? How about Sam Peter? I know the alphabet titles get kick backs but I just can't get past some of these fights. At least we get Adamek and Haye down the road (hopefully) and if we don't, I have lost all hope in heavyweights (Solis gave me a good reason to give up but I won't just yet)...

Vitali is the main runner to fight Tomasz Adamek in September, but wants to take another fight inbetween. Two weeks ago he stopped Odlanier Solis in a single round after the Cuban was dropped and badly injured his right knee.

Well seeing as Wlad messed him about so much, maybe Vitali should fight Chisora. He's a liver body than Liakhovich.

As a tune for Adamek, whatever. Sure, Heavyweight blows. Man wants to fight, this is what there is. Smart thing is to ignore the division most of the time and focus on good boxing until the big events later this year.
