Wish the guy would have actually gotten in good shape for his fights, his style was different and entertaining.

True. That digging right hook to the body that he kept landing against Brewster was a tremendous punch and one which a lot of HWs would do well to emulate, especially tall guys.

As for this fight itself... meh, Liakhovich was a decent fighter at one time. Now he's pretty much a walking punch bag who probably won't even provide much entertainment because he'll be so badly outclassed by Vitali. It's not even much of a meaningful tune up since, aside from looking like a bigger uglier version of Adamek, there are very few similarities between the two fighters at all. If Vitali was looking for an easy name opponent that would have provided him with a dry run for Adamek then he'd honestly have been better off with Holyfield, whose style is at least somewhat similar. Not that I'm advocating that fight either, but no one is going to tell me that this is the best option out there, no way.

Vitali doesn't have time to sit on his ass like the Haye's of this world. It's a Fraudley type fight but would keep him busy after the Solis demolition.

But in reality, he doesn't want to take the chance of really getting injured fighting White, now that he has a chance at a better payday fighting Vitali.

Also, If he could kick Solis 1.8 millions bucks and make almost ten times that himself, why can't K2 pony 2 million to get Valuev in the ring with him??

I know this is just a stay busy fight, but damn. We're not going to have Vitali around much longer, i'd like to see him in as many meaningful fights as possible.

Valuev is still injured and may never come back now. He'll need a warm-up if he ever does return. He's no longer ranked by any of the sanctioning organizations.

Chisora is not ranked by the WBC. Vitali needs to choose somebody ranked or it will not be sanctioned as a WBC title fight (unless he's in a unification fight).
