If Vitali fought age 48 Holyfield, a lot of Americans would hate him for it.

Liakhovich sounds like perfect preparation for Adamek( Like he needs it)

The White Wolf is a generally an entertaining HW(A rarity).

I don't mind this stay busy fight.

I had him beating Briggs before the one-punch miracle.

Not a lot of options out there for Vitali.

Liakhovich beats Holyfield right now. IMO.

Its just a stay busy fight and he is only taking it because he didn't get more than a round in last fight so it doesn't really matter who he is fighting.

Stay busy fight, I have no problem. Adamek is lined up for September so I don't see why people are moaning. Vitali doesn't even need to fight before September, so atleast it's another fight.

Yeah I mean alternatively he could do nothing so fighting someone who he should easily blow out is no biggie as long as its sandwiched between two of the best opponents he could have gotten.

That might be true to a degree but Holyfield arguably beat Valuev and did better against Valuev than Haye did. Liakhovich got KO'd by Briggs (whom Vitali beat on) and Valuev won every round against Laikhovich. Beating Bates and Quinn doesn't qualify you for a title shot anymore than Holyfield has earned one. My point is nobody will give Holyfield a shot and he is just as deserving as Briggs, Liakhovich, Ray Austin, Hasim Rahman, etc. I know that isn't saying much but still, if those guys get the shots, I say Holyfield should at least get his shot too. Then he can most likely lose and that will be that....

Most likely true however, look who has been given title shots: Ray Austin, Hasim Rahman, Solis, Briggs and now Liakhovich! Are any more deserving than the other? Personally, I don't want Holyfield to fight anymore but if he's going to, he's earned the shot (and I use earned lightly) as any of the aforementioned guys. You cannot deny that...

Liakhovich was such a dissapointment. His fight with Brewster was awesome, and then the guy goes into the Briggs fight out of shape and fights a terrible stinker where even he outgassed Briggs in the late rounds.

worst of all was his outing against Valuev. awful, awful...He was so fat for that fight.

Wish the guy would have actually gotten in good shape for his fights, his style was different and entertaining.

Vitali loves beating up fat guys. Maybe he gets a special cut from that Gym he does advertisements for.

Do you understand what a mandatory is?

                      Austin: Wlad's IBF mandatory
Rahman: Wlad's IBF mandatory after Povetkin was "injured"
                      Solis: Vitali's WBC mandatory

I agree Solis is a fat pile of **** but Vitali HAD to fight him.

Lyakhovich really is the best available option for June 4. I'd prefer Povetkin, Boytsov or Dimitrenko, but they are not available.
