Yea and it starts with a "V"

His name is Володимир Кличко, translated to english it is Vladimir.

From what i hear in this thread is that his name is translated to German and they use a "W" of a "V''

    Thanks for playing tho

Because it shows how transcription from non-latin letters to latin letters differs from country to country.

Where are the idiots that said Wlad would duck Haye and make Vitali fight him instead? Please, say hi

And the Ukrainian way of spelling it, as the article also makes clear, is actually Володимир, because Ukrainians don't use the Roman alphabet at all, they use the Cyrillic alphabet. So all Roman (abc etc.) spellings are actually translations and whatever Roman spelling Wlad wants to go with is the correct one in his case. Which means it's actually Wladimir.
I'll go with what's on his birth cirtificate as being legal, but of course as being an American boxing fan, I call him Wladimir. I was just being politically correct for the ignorant person I was responding to.

Vitali's skills are more unorthodox, but he is still highly skilled. Wlad's jab is more precise and powerful than Vitali's.

Wlad has much more one-punch power than Vitali - Vitali never knocks anyone cold with a single punch like Wlad does, but he bludgeons you to death with an accumulation of combination punches instead, and most of his KOs are actually TKOs.

But he's slowed down significantly in the last two years and I think Haye would have a better chance against the current version of Vitali, who is not as good as he was 2 years ago, than against the current version of Wlad, who has improved significantly in the last 2 years.
Actually, since you think you know so much, you may want to delve into it a little deeper. While Wlad appears to have more one punch power than Vitali, it's just a product of fighting style and not actual power. Vitali is a pinpoint accurate volume puncher while Wlad uses his jab to set up a single hook or a straight right with his whole body behind it. If Vitali employed the same style he would have more single shot KO's than Wladimir. But, as you say, Wlad does have more single punch KO's than Vitali, but if you take into account tha he's also had 58 pro fights to Vit's 44, a 19 to 15 single shot KO advantage isn't all that much.

Also, I was asking how somebody could think Wlad is a better boxer than Vitali. He may be younger and more athletic, but he's not a better boxer. One of the give aways is that Vit had to go back and dismantle two of the fighters who have managed to beat Wladimir, and he did it easily.

Admittedly, you can't judge much on less than one round, and Vitali landed the only punch that really mattered, but the fact is Solis wasn't having much difficulty in landing. Johnson and Sosnowski also landed a surprising number of punches, and Vitali looked significantly slower against both fighters than he used to, especially against Sosnowski.

None of Vitali's opponents since his comeback have had very fast feet. Johnson is reasonably fast but not very fast and he doesn't have enough pop to keep a powerful fighter like Vitali away form him.

Bird, who does have very fast hands and feet, did much better against Vitali (even discounting the effect of Vitali's shoulder injury) than he did against Wlad. Just look at the punch stats.

Vitali lands more punches than Wlad because he's a combination puncher and throws a lot more punches than Wlad does - not because he's as fast as Wlad is.

I agree he's superb at cutting off the ring - but that's because he has a real mastery of space and distance, which Wlad doesn't have so much. But he is still much easier to hit than Wlad is, and IMO, he is significantly slower.
You must have forgot all about Gomez.(fast) He was probably better than Solis and I know he was tougher and more accomplished in the pro ranks.

Most fighters could manage to do that if that's all they came to do as well.
