Pre-Kalambay Nunn was not as impressive as you're making him out to be.

He beat a weight-drained Frank Tate. Nunn was the underdog against Frank & was s o because he had looked like **** in the last year leading up to their fight.

He beat Juan Roldan.....who was already KO'd by Hagler & Hearns....Roldan also looked like he wasn't into that fight, esppecially when he took the count after a couple of decent Nunn left uppercuts.

Nunn closed his eyes & hit Kalambay with a titanic left. Great punch, & a great KO.....but, considering Nunn's punching power before & after that performance....I'd say that was an ABBERATION !

Nunn looked like garbage, after the Kalambay fight.
Against Barkley.....& the welterweights, Curry (washed-up) & Starling.

Then....he was demolished by Toney in front of his Davenport homies.

Roy Jones.....so much better than Nunn ever was.

Reggie Miller was one of the few Jones Jr fights that was televised when he was fighting in Pensacola around that time, and I was not impressed (I thought WTF, this kid who was so awesome at the Olympics being caught once by this bum and looking weakened, have to admit it was a powerful finish though), I don't know why hardly any of his early fights were not even televised though. I'd like to of seen more of them.

Agreed, because drugs got him after the big pay-day against Kalambay.

Has any fighter you loved ever just not been AS GOOD as you thought they were ?
Has any lost because the opposition was superior ?

            You're like a 10 year old, pal.

Has any fighter you loved just not been AS GOOD as you thought they were, Mr jabsRstiff? You can say that to anybody.

I don't love Nunn, far from it, he was boring as **** but I call things as I see them and am honest.

Honestly, I don't see Jones having much joy with Nunn at Nunn's best.

It's true that Jones may be overrated by some people or maybe even alot of people, but he's extremely underrated by you JUYJUY.

Okay. You seem to give Nunn props for his performances against lesser opponents, but you tear Jones apart for his performances against lesser opponents.
