I understand the Knockdown call by the ref since there was a punch but what I saw was a guy who hurt his knee which cost him the fight. They should do a rematch.
I've never seen so much hyperbole over one round of boxing in my life.

Apparently you never watched the Vitali - Corrie Sanders fight.

Vitali was winning the round. Solis landed about 3 clean punches max and didn't do too bad until the finish.

Just goes to show how dominant Vitali is that because someone lands a couple of mediocre punches on him that is supposed to be of earthshaking signifcance.

There will never be a rematch. Vitali hasn't got time to waste on guys like Solis now. I doubt you will see Solis again -- he's got his money and will eat his way into oblivion. He doesn't even like boxing.

Vitaly, during his career, was always susceptible to getting hit especially early, he was never a "slick black fighter". it's his timing, calmness and ability to adapt to his opponents that would have him outland the contenders 5 to 1.
I know there are people out there desperate for Vitali to lose, but it's reached the point of delusion. Nothing happened in that round at all that would indicate Vitali was going to lose the fight. Nothing.

Corrie Sanders hit Vitali with some BOMBS that make anything Solis did look pitiful. And he still got stopped. Solis was going down, it was just a matter of when.

He done okay for the best part of a round and then got taken out.

Even Herbie Hide done better in a round against Vitali about 10-years-ago.

He landed 3 or 4 good punches that weren't even like slaps to Vitali. So what. He didn't even win 1 round of the fight.

David CHEF Williams was saying that after the fight, Vitali said Solis's punches that did land were mostly slapping kind of shots and made no impression on him at all.

I think it's something that most people already knew. Vitali was never all that fast, and has declined with age.

Yep, he's declined so much that nobody can beat him.

We should all decline like Vitali.

Haye would look like a million dollars against Vitali for about 2 rounds until the big man nearly kills him.

Someone lands a half-assed punch on Vitali and all the haters start frothing at the mouth saying he's finished.

It's beyond desperate. Get back to me when someone wins a round against him, boys, because Solis wasn't and didn't.

Still though, that round by Hide, eh?

Highlight of Herbie's career I reckon. He was looking in ominous form.
