Comments Thread For: Yuriorkis Gamboa: Juanma Lopez Has No Chance To Win!

WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (20-0, 16KOs) doesn't expect his promoter, Top Rank, to put him in the ring with WBO rival Juan Manuel Lopez 930-0, 27KOs), who returns on April 16 in Bayamon against former champion Orlando Salido. Gamboa looked vicious on Saturday when he destroyed Jorge Solis in four rounds. Gamboa, an Olympic gold medal winner, sent Solis to the canvas on five occasions.

I hope I'm not gettting ahead of myself here but if the Gamboa that fought last night shows up to fight Juanma I don't see how Juanma wins. Gamboa is a damn beast! I can definitely see Gamboa tagging Juanma with ease.....like I said maybe I am jumping the gun but damn....he made Solis look like that was his debut last night!!! Just saying...

i like both and i don't blame gamboa for moving on.the dam fight should happen.i guarantee this. both guys can finish but it something about gamboa the put fighters in position to get knocked out. and juanma is a technician.let'em go at it arum or one will jump ship.

Arum better take notice. And start putting fights together we want to see. He already lost Nonito for not giving him good fights. If he doesn't make gamboa vs juanma I hope he loses one or both of them too.

                PPL are so damn blind.

The Gamboa that showed up last night?!?!

I saw the same gamboa. with a limited fighter in front of him who lacked the ability to make it competitive fight and let a really good fighter dominate him.

Gamboa's statement that Juanma has no chance to win is nonsense...

Huh??? Are u far sighted or nearsighted or have any eye problem??? If u only observed keenly w/ the fight, there's a lot of foul punches behind the head...The ref doesn't seriously warned or cautioned Gamboa for that w/c greatly affect the outcome of the fight...Yes Solis was tagged cleanly but before that a lot of punches hit behind the head...Gamboa knew if he doesn't fight it rough or applied some dirty tactics like hitting behind the head, Solis will slowly tore him into pieces w/ jabs...As what happened in the first round...

Gamboa is a good fighter w/ power nothing special with him, I think JuanMa is a much better talented fighter and has potential to be great...His statement that Juanma has no chance to win is nonsense, he is daydreaming...
