First, I thought "what the hell does Joe Cortez mean he likes Cotto's chances against Margarito?" I was thinking the game was in the bag scumbag Joe Cortez. But, I read it again and it said Joe Chavez and then I said, "I have no idea who this guys is."

When it comes to stamina, I saw a different Cotto during the Cotto/Mayorga bout. He has definitely improved in that area. If he comes in with that same stamina in his rematch with Margarito, I am giving him a good chance of winning.

Cotto got good set of boxing skills. He was outboxing Marg early in the fight in their first bout until he succumbed in late rounds due to Marg's unceasing onslaught.

The only way to for Cotto to win against Margarito is to box. He can't go looking for KO because Marg has good chin. Though a KO by Cotto is possible, I believe the key in this fight is to outbox his opponent. Margarito will be swinging all night, he knows how to fight Cotto. He will try again to overwhelm Cotto with those non-stop uppercuts and hooks. He knows Miguel can't hurt him.

Hence, Miguel must be prepared to fight and box for the entire 12 rounds otherwise, plaster or no plaster the outcome will be the same as the first fight.

Im not sure about that because Mayorga didnt apply the pressure that Margs will. If we remember the Judah fight for example Cotto was very strong because he was able to fight in spots and not constantly have to defend himself and move. I think Cotto will win but it will not come easy thats for sure.

Cotto needs to box Margo and whenever Margo tries to run inside with his uppers and all the other slow S*** he throws, Cotto just needs to clinch.. he fought a very good fight against Mayorga. i watched the fight for the second time and he actually fought a really good fight, he took his time and actually used this fight as a tune up.. he could have KO mayorga earlier than the 12th round nut Cotto just decided to take his time and be patient instead of going for the kill.. plus you gotta watch your self against a crazy F**** like Mayorga.. all they look for is a lucky punch to make a name for themselves... Mayorga might be old but he can take a punch so just because Cotto didnt KO him in the early rounds doesnt mean nothing... Cotto will out box Margo any day as long his stamina and game is on point.
