why price out of a fight he claims he would easily win?,what a fraud!.

He may aswell just **** off if he never plans on fighting pac or martinez.

the only other even half worthwile fights would have been: cotto, williams, khan

i hope hbo and showtime just reject this fight without a minutes thought and make him fight someone worthwhile, and force him to fight pac this year.
Pac isn't exactly interested in fighting Floyd or Martinez.

According to Floyd's fan, that's a perfect example of a tuneup contender.
Manny figts guys coming off of loses kid. Mosley has basically lost 2 straight.

Spadafora is about to get a fight made and is using Mayweather's name to promote his own fight with a nobody.

Its the same tactic Arum uses with Pac. They make it seem like they want a fight with Floyd but actually have a name already in place. I.E. like when Pac signed to fight that no name never has been Top Rank in house fighter named Clottey (who?) that hasn't won a fight in almost 3 years.

Yeah, but a draw with Dorin and the fact he fought at lightweight most of his career does really hurt his case as a suitable opponent. Plus the fact P-Spad didn't hit hard at lightweight doesn't bode well either since he won't be able to hurt Floyd. But as good a fighter Mayweather is, why would he need a tune-up against a southpaw. You can find sparring partners who are southpaw and he could probably bring in his friend Zab to help him prepare...

JOKE, JOKE, JOKE, JOKE written all over. It's like picking strawberries in spring. The guy hasn't fight a legit fighter in many, many years, moreover, the guy is just a light welterweight, Spadafora has never fought beyond 140. And he is not even rank in the top 15 light welterweights in the US and in the world rankings he is rank at the 95th position. C'MON. JOKE, JOKE, JOKE. Once again Mayweather and his group showing how to pick their non-threat opponents. I would rather see him fight Zab Judah again if he wants to fight a light welterweight or how about Timothy Bradley. And if he really wants to fight someone his size, he could fight the winner of Berto vs Ortiz, or undefeated guys like Mike Jones, Viacheslav Senchenko or Mike Alvarado all in the top 10 welterweight division. Fighting those guys would look much better in his record than fighting Spadafora.

Alot of people thought Clottey beat Cotto, so although Cotto got the win and Pacquiao fought him first, there were still people claiming he didn't fight the guy who gave Cotto hell. Plus Clottey beat Jab Zudah a year and a half before he fought Pacquiao, so your 'almost' three years is a huge stretch...

Im thinking the same ****. But IF this fight gets made I can't defend it. Still a huge fan but I can't defend it.

And they are all tuneups for Manny.

FACT: Floyd's best win according to his fans at welter is Mosley, who is now a tuneup for Manny.

Floyd fought Mosley after a long layoff and overtraining without a tuneup.
That's like Floyd fighting Manny without a tuneup.

FYI, noone is claiming Floyd doesn't need a tuneup... he just need to pick a better one than Spadafora.

I too am hoping this is just BS and Floyd will actually fight someone in his weight class that is at least top 10.

um.... why is everyone getting ape-**** about this? floyd is NOT going to fight this dude... NO WAY.

don king IS connected to floyd mayweather. from the dinner meetings, the 100mil offer, to floyd potentially moving to florida... whether king is CURRENTLY working with floyd or not, king is connected to floyd.

i wouldnt be surprised if king lines up devon as a tune-up for floyd...

Well, you could make a case that Mosley beat Mora, but that was a terrible fight so who really cares. The thing is Cotto beat Clottey in a tough fight and that is who Pacquiao fought. But because alot of people were stating Clottey really won that fight and Pacquiao should have fought him instead of Cotto, so he fought him next. Plus, Margarito beat Roberta Garcia before fighting Pacquiao. So, in his last three fights and adding Mosley into the equation, he beat two guys who won their last fight, one guy who lost his last fight and will be fighting a guy who got a draw in his last fight. They might not be stellar opposition but that hardly qualifies him as fighting guys coming off a losses...

And using your logic, Marquez lost to Pacquiao before he fought Mayweather and Mosley lost to Cotto before he fought Mayweather. The pendulum swings both ways...
