So Rick, any word if any other fighters have been contacted besides Spadafora for this go round? Do you think this Spadafora contact is just one of several being considered at this time or do you think they are serious about just fighting Spadafora? According to an article I read earlier this morning, Mayweather is starting some training tour but I didn't see him mention anything about fighting while touring.

"I remember Arum saying Cotto was not ready for Floyd and needed to be built up."

If he said he fought some guys that were undeserving, i wouldn't have even commented. Personally, i thought cotto was the a good choice. The other two were stay busy fights although margarito's size in the first three rounds was perceived by me a challenge. After that it was a white wash for the most part. And mosley is another stay busy fight that will generate alot of money with the cbs exposure and all..

If you ask me am i happy about the way this has gone? No, i don't think anybody is to honest with you. But after mosley, he has to fight either jmm, berto or possibly tim bradley if he beats amir khan. And other than mayweather, there is no where else to go...

Bottom line, me and that guy wess have a long history of going at it. You just took me way too seriously, that's all. No biggie, i don't mind anyone disagreeing with me....
oh okay bro, no harm no foul, i wasnt aware of this past with wess.....

                True indeed......

"We're looking for guys like Ricky Hatton and 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather. So you're seeing now the finishing touches on the emerging superstar, and in 2006 hopefully he will be able to claim the mantle of the real, real superstar."

Hatton emerged as the recognized 140-pound champion with his TKO of Kostya Tszyu June 11. Mayweather, the pound-for-pound king who is also promoted by Arum, stopped Arturo Gatti to claim a junior welterweight title two weeks later.

Cotto against either man would certainly qualify as a super fight, but before either match can be explored seriously, he has to keep winning."
Cotto and Hatton were there at the Gatti fight to be next up and they both opted not too.

                    • why not wait and fight the winner of ortiz/berto instead?

wifebeater/spaddy is a garbage fight. only way this fight is even mentionable is after pac whupps wifebeater's azz and wifebeater needs a confidence builder.
