Misses: Pacquiao should not be fighting Mosley, a once-great champion who was held to a draw in a horrible fight against Sergio Mora in September and who was wiped out in a near-shutout loss to Floyd Mayweather in his previous fight. Pacquiao is just picking up Mayweather's leftovers. Boxing fans deserve better.

nevermind. The fact that youre still using that old quote as if it has any relevance today is.....just...wow. Im still in shock.

Hey breaking news, Bush said he was going to re-run for president. He said it in 2004, but I think it still has relevance in todays current agenda
Yo.... the point is that Arum said he wants Floyd to stay in retirement for longer, so when he comes back the ring, it is better that he is rusty? How can you explain or cosign that?

you have to work on your comprehension skills.

when roach was asked if he or Pac were disappointed in fighting clottey instead of Floyd jr., roach said pac was a little bit let down by that
          .

meaning to say, Pac was disappointed that he didn't get to face Floyd jr.

          got it?
          .
Pac was so disapointed in fighting Clottey that the fight was a done deal in 2hrs. Also if Pac was so disapointed. Why didn't he just do what he was supposed to do and get Floyd in the ring? He had a choice and he chose to refuse and go fight Clottey. That doesn't tell me that he really wanted it with Floyd. My comprehenson skills must be good because I definitely can see how much BS is coming from Arum's side regarding this fight.

            So?

Obviously, Arum wants all the advantages for his ward and current cash cow Pac. The more advantages Pac has over floyd jr when they do fight, the better for him (Arum).

you could interpret it as arum afraid for Pac to face Floyd jr., or Arum simply wanting to add an advantage for Pac.

regardless of Arum's intent, it has no bearing at all as to how Pac feels about facing floyd jr.

Doesn't side like much praise to me.

From day one, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum had an agenda when it came to making Manny Pacquiao's next fight. He wanted to match him with Shane Mosley, and that is what he did, and he doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks.

He knows Mosley is an aging fighter who doesn't have a great chance to win, but he has a big name that general sports fans recognize, even if they don't realize he is not the same Shane Mosley of just a few years ago.

Arum doesn't care. He only wants to do what is best for himself, certainly not for boxing. He is going to put Mosley in the ring with Pacquiao soley because of name. It's a move that will squeeze out the last gasps of Mosley's once-outstanding career so Arum can generate another big payday while doing a disservice to real boxing fans who actually care about the matchups and not just a famous but faded name.

Forget all the nonsense we've heard since Pacquiao beat down Antonio Margarito, about how Pacquiao's next opponent was going to come from a list of Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez and Andre Berto.

The real list was more like Mosley, Mosley and Mosley. But Arum had to include a couple of other names so he could leverage Mosley into believing it was a competition and, therefore, drive down his price. Mosley is desperate for the fight after being beaten almost as badly in his recent divorce settlement as he will be by Pacquiao, who should have put his foot down and demanded a better fight. Make no mistake: Pacquiao is culpable here, too.

Huh? What did you just say?
You were a bit more eloquent before but it seems your toyboy floyd's semi-retirement is making you rusty now.
But i do agree with you though, nuthugging a certain boxer can really cloud your judgment and mental ability.
Look at you now, it's already happening and it's showing that the nutsack you're hanging on to is floyd's ....smh.

the fight was a done deal in 2 hours because:

                  1. clottey was also Arum's fighter.
                  2. unlike floyd jr., clottey has no problems with facing pac in the ring and readily agreed to the terms offered to him.

apparently even Pac cannot have everything he wants, so he had to settle with fighting against clottey.

Ok, so this convinces me that Floyd is scared of Pacquiao? How can Pac fans say Floyd is shook of Manny when Pac's own promoter is not too sure about Manny against Mayweather? Already showed more than one quote on Freddie's thoughts. An elite fighter who needs an advantage over another? Of course it has bearing on it because Pac is the one saying that he doesn't pick his fights and gives that job to Arum and WE all know how Arum feels.
