Personally am not mad at all, There isnt a lot of great options to choose from but i laughed though when the fight was annouced because for months we heard how Mayweather would never fight Mosley, Then after the fight we heard about how Mosley was shot to pieces then Pacquiao pounce on that shot to pieces but still a NAMED fighter, Like a hyena going after the weak.

When I said it was Mosley and then Marquez at 147, I was being negative. Well...guess what?

first bold is that shane could have made more do that (like many fighters have, most recently vera). the size difference was bad, but its not like shane was using quickness and footwork. manny certainly doesn't "stand right in front of you". if anyone believes that they are ***n crazy, so manny is a bad fight for shane too.

second bold, i think it was a good win for floyd, but you can also say that shane was old and to me it looked like he gave up in that fight, you'd think he'd come out looking to prove something vs mora, which he didn't look to do, hence my belief that shane doesn't have it in him any more.
Manny moves a good amount in his fights, that's no secret, but for a guy who throws what? 70 - 90 punches a round on average for his last 3 fights (I'm sure someone has the numbers) that means he engages, this obviously indicates he stands in close enough range. If we're comparing him to Mora, I don't see Manny throwing a 1-2 and moving completely out of distance. But yeah, I agree with you, if Manny wants to box Mosley, he could emulate a Mora-esque performance, but I don't see that - I think Manny likes throwing, he's gonna be there to throw.

If Floyd-Manny fought the safe and smart choice would be Floyd.

But, Manny would be far and away the best fighter he has ever been against and I wouldnt be surprised if Manny overwhelmed Floyd and won.

If I were forced to bet though I would pick Floyd.

I would rather see Pac fight similar size guys who have the skills/speed to cause him issues. Berto, Bradley and obviously Mayweather Jr..

Props for fighting Cotto.. even Clottey who i thought had no chance but still a decent ranked WW who was much larger..

Then Margarito/Shane which you just can't give much credit for

I still think Shane has a decent chance of an upset though with his power and speed... he hit a defensive master in Mayweather flush and hard a few times.. Pac is no defensive master and fights fire with fire.. which is the only way he loses this imo..

Still he should have fought him before Cotto when Mosley was hot and not after he was 2 years older.. beaten by mayweather and took to a disputed draw with mora (who lost recently)

The problem with him picking Shane is that Arum gave him 3 choices, Marquez, undefeated Berto, or Shane, and the fans wanted either Marquez or Berto, but Pacquiao looked the other way and picked Shane, instead of the guy with no losses or the guy who's last loss was to Floyd and besides that he's been on a roll knocking guy out, Marquez has. He picked the oldest one, the one with that has looked bad the most recent. Arum said, he did not pick who Pacquiao should fight, it was Pacquiao's choice of those 3 fighters. Mosley was calling out Pacquiao in late 2009-early 2010, and Roach said Mosley is too good, then a loss to Floyd and a Draw to Mora, he's the perfect opponent for Pacquiao.

who cares if Berto has no losses. That doesn't make him better then Cotto, Clottey, Marg, or Mosley who he never fought. He's a hypejob who has been fighting 140pounders, and bums, since his closely contested fight against Collazo. Even then Collazo was his biggest fight to date, and he barely got the W, which many think could have gone either way. Berto sukks. Plain and simple. He's no test for Pacquiao, as is evident in their styles, resumes, and accomplishments.

And Marquez fights at 135. Sure he was the best choice out of the three, but Roach doesn't want Pac to go down to 140 for Marquez, which Ariza claimed would be a simple task. Why? Because Marquez can still give Pac hell at 140, which would diminish Pac's current streak as a machine, and make him look human again. They're banking in on fighting him at 147, as he looked slow, lethargic, and bloated at that weight, so that Pac looks spectacular in beating him.

Pac would have fought Mosley instead of Clottey if Mosley wasn't tied up with Berto during that time. And why do people hate on him for choosing Cotto over Mosley when Cotto decisively beat Mosley prior to Pac fighting him?

My two favorite fighter so I will definitely be watching. Yeah I would have liked it more last before this but oh well. Also if Berto wins which he should, he should be in line for Pacquiao next considering Floyd does not become active again. Even if Floyd does come back he would have a tune up first which would leave Berto open for Pacquiao in the meantime.

if u tryna make a point at least get ur facts straight. Pacquiao had Cotto late 2009 and Mosley already signed to fight Berto in early 2010, what you meant to say was early-mid 2009. and even then, Pacquiao only fought 1 'welter' Oscar, and that nicca aint no welter so they chose to hit up Cotto as their 1st real welterweight, after that Mosley signed to fight Berto, it aint like Pac been avoiding cat for 3-4 years like u niccas try to make it seem.

and bruh, you know koncz spewing that sh-t in mannys ear, he is his adviser, and who does he listen to? it all comes back to Arum.

not the greatest fight to make, I rather see Berto, but Berto is who? so I get it. Marquez shouldve been the choice.

As for Shane - Pac this fight is just another oppurtunity for Pac to take the money and run.
