y he didnt continue fighting? i dont know. y he didnt ask for a rematch? probly because he and his handlers thought that the 2nd fight would be just like the 1st.
but the excuse on this board is that the only reason why naz lost is because he didnt train...

i firmly agree. I watched the fight with about 20 mexicans, with me being the lone naseem fan, not pretty.
but seriously, why the **** didint he take a rematch? thats a confidence issue, even lennox took the rematch with rahman, because he had the confidence the first loss was a fluke, but if hamed himself didnt think that he could win even at his best, then he was exposed. Who the **** was he gonna fight next? Morales? He HAD to retire, his prospects were bleak and he knew it.
Excuse me ******* but if u watch the documentary u can clearly see that he wasnt taking Barrera seriously one little bit and not training with any intensity.
Well than he's ******ed, and I dont think you step into the ring with the biggest fight of your life on the line without training.

what the hell are you talking about?
he had to retire??
why did he retire, he accomplished nothing in his career, and the defining moment in his career was his exposure as a fluke. if he wasnt a fluke, then he could fight some quality competition and get another shot at a belt, to get some credibility, prove he wasnt a fluke.
sayin he had to retire makes no sense and plain and simple, it a ****** comment. by retireing, he admitted to himself, his fans, and the world that he was an overrated boxer who was nothing but a fluke

He had to retire because the top level competition in the division would have beat the **** out of him, which basically was my point, so why are you attacking my position when its virtually the same as yours?
Even if he would have trained he would of still got the crap kicked out of him. I mean seriously if you believe otherwise you need to get off naz's ball sack.
Prince Naseem got rich and didnt need boxing anymore. Towards the end he was using boxing more and more to show his roots of Islam. He lost motivation to box which is perfectly fair enuff.
About a year after the Barrerra fight i saw him at an Eid function (an Islamic festival) - and he said to me that he was gonna start training and get ready "to get back at that mexican"....sadly he neva got motivated enuff to do so in th end.
hahaha look wot i found on google. that posturin, padded ***** pube-anks clearly said "Before flying out I spoke with Naseem (over the phone) and asked him if he had done his work. He told me that he had and when I met him after arriving in Las Vegas I could tell he had."
