You'd think since Pac is a foreigner and the defendants are all American that this case would get dismissed. NOPE!!!

Without any proof whatsoever, the Mayweathers and Golden Boy publicly CAMPAIGNED that Pacquiao is taking or probably taking PED's, which resulted in the worldwide press stigmatizing Pacquiao with PED's!!!! That's a NO-BRAINER!!! In the United States, false public statements are considered libelous and can be punished by law!!! Even if you claim that the statement is merely "opinion", you are still willfully trying to taint the public view of someone WITHOUT ANY PROOF. It's like a co-worker telling everyone at work that you have AIDS.

This whole thing is a joke. Instead of the boxing fans getting to see Floyd and Pac fight in the ring we get to see them in court.

There are some things that have been puzzling to me though. Why could Pac just say: " Hey, if you really think I'm on PED's then you really must be impressed with what I have been doing and since I'm not on them I'll take that as a compliment." or he could have said " I'll take whatever random no cutoff date bs blood test you've been nagging about and then I'm going to kick your coward ass all over the ring."

Simple answer to the Paulie M. question - Pacs lawyers wouldn't want to name him as a defendant in the case because he was the "effect" of the rumors. There's "cause" (aka the defendants) and "effect" (aka what happened or was said due to the defendants accusations) in a slander case. Pacquiaos lawyers will use Paulie Malignaggi as a PRIME example of what resulted due to the Defendants actions. The Plaintiffs will want to use the words and actions of Paulie and others to show that these people were not saying these things (publicly) BEFORE the defendants spread the "rumor". There is a difference between an opinion and a rumor, but neither is substantiated by a known fact. If an opinion or rumor is put out there for the sole purpose of hurting someones career, it's called slander. The job of the Plaintiffs lawyers is to prove it was done with MALICE. Some people are confussing what happens in Criminal Court as opposed to what happens in Civil Court. This is a Civil Court case, Criminal laws and procedures DONT APPLY. That being said, slander cases can be very difficult to prove.

2. She wasn't caught via testing

3. OST used now wasn't in place until the winter 2000 Olympics. Jones won her medals in summer 2000. When she raced using OST in 2004, she bombed.
