Even Vitali himself says the punch was not hard enough for a knockout.
Is Klitschko a self-hating white???
It wasn't that hard of a punch, but thanks for pulling the race card. Vitali can throw much harder punches and has done it against much harder foes. He was shocked and pissed when Solis went down on that punch. Did you even read the article?
I'm not pulling the race card. The "self-hating white" comment is one that Klitschko fans have been throwing around at anyone that dares to say something less than positive about the brothers.

I'm merely throwing it back in their faces now.
Oh okay. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to label you racist.
if the knee dont buckle he dont go down...it ends as a tko 1 because the ref called it a knock down.the punch never hurt him but since the knee buckled he went down.its a clean tko 1 but solis should not be crucified as much as he was.it could have happened to anyone & he has 2 torn ligaments & is having surgery asap.id actually like to see them fight again but it probably wont happen.after his promoter gets his cut he'll walk out with a cool 1.2 million.most promoters take a 3rd of the purse.i just cant see solis staying in shape during rehab but who knows maybe this will be a blessing in disguise & he will take the sport & his training more seriously.
WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko took some time to discuss Saturday's first round technical knockout of Odlanier Solis in Cologne, Germany. Klitschko threw a right hand that landed. Solis stumbled backwards and baldy injured his right knee. He was unable to continue and fight was stopped. Klitschko was both happy and upset with the outcome. 19,000 fans paid a lot of money to watch a fight and instead they saw a three minute controversial ending.
I think people are forgetting Solis himself said he hurt his knee when he "FELL DOWN" But I do believe he would have been able to continue if he didn't hurt his knee.Solis did beat the count, but with the bad knee could not fight on.It was a knock down but not a knock out.It was a very close round until then and looked like it was going to be a decent fight for a while.Just sucks ,but things like this do happen in sports all the tme.

This. Vitali knocked him down with a temple shot, and Solis ****ed up his knee on the fall, which made him unable to continue. Not a KO but it was a legit stoppage, and the injury was caused by the knock down, so all credit to Vitali.
Maybe a quick rematch is needed to solve the issue...
I like Vitali, he's one of a smart heavyweight boxer who used his size and height advantage very well...I was also impressed when he last fought Lewis with a good fight...
But this was a different fight for him against Solis even he won this bout with a TKO this was too early to judge for what the outcome will be before the accident happened...
Too bad for Solis because it seems he has a good performance against Vitali and connected more shots than Vitali before the accident (knee injury) happens...I believe Solis is leading for a short time and has a potential to beat Vitali, before that punch landed but not enough for a knock out even Vitali himself have said it...
replayed the replay in slow mo, solis twisted his right knee before the punch
his left leg slipped away, he was on the move to that direction due to the momentum of the right hand he threw, he saw vitali's punch and tried to duck down while moving towards his left leg and forgetting his leaving hsi right leg too far behind and ending up in a wide, low stance while coming down from a jump, came down on a an angle and ****ed his right knee up
