I don't think GBP could give better offers to Donaire than Top Rank could at this point, anyway. GBP hasn't had any fight that amounted to huge PPV sales in recent memory. Hope it's not too late for him to come back.

You guys are to funny~ boxing is to rough a game for sentimentality to be running your career. It is a business relationship not a friendship Nonito owes them nothing as Top Rank would drop him as soon as money is no longer there to be made.


Arum did not do right by him why stand by a guy that failed you in your opinion and Montiel wasn't any bigger a win than Darchinyan which was before Arum was even involved with him so if he wasn't going to be loyal to Shaw who gave him his first big break why would he be loyal to Arum who didn't live up to his promises.

Also if Arum failed him in the past why would he believe that is the best route forward, if he thinks he can not get ahead or is being fed a bill of goods there it is time to move on.

Juanma and Gamboa will likely move up in weight by the time Donaire is ready to fight at 126 lbs.

And he is going to become a cash cow so Arum's fighters will have to fight him if they want the big money.

It's Donaire's decision, people are being overly critical without having no clue about the situation, the new contract etc. Idiots who claim it was a bad move solely because 'ARUMZ IS A HARVARD LAW GRAD HE MUST B THE BEST' cannot be anymore close-minded - Obviously Donaire had his lawyer, management team there and decided it was in his best interest to leave Top Rank, we can only hope it works out for the best.

i'm a filipino and i do not agree with donaire's transfer to golden boy. and most of us pinoys does not agree either.

Why do Pac fans and for that matter Filipinos care what Donaire does with his promotional company? More importantly why are Pac fans and Filipinos so loyal to Arum and Top Rank?

and for those complaining about the future fights hes gonna get...the only fight that might, and i repeat might make a difference in his career is the juanma one. and thats soooo far in the future it shouldnt even be an issue rite now.

other than that, where are all of these great fights that he would get at top rank??? none of top ranks superbantams are that big as to make or break donaire. in fact, id say he has bigger fights with the likes of agbeko and mares rite at bantam. but of course this is ignored.

honestly I think the fans lose in this one. I think donaire had much better options with top rank.

And no top rank wont be done when arum dies, his son in law will take over and he's very competent and many have called him the future of the sport

But he is not Bob Arum.

I can't stand Top Rank, but I certainly hope that they do remain competitive after Arum dies. We need more top promoters, *** letting GBP obtain a significant monopoly.

But Bob Arum is a slimebag who will look you in the eye, lie through his teeth, and then stab you in the back, I don't think Todd DuBoef is cut from quite the same cloth. We shall see, and hopefully soon.
