Bute's Stock Dropped

I thought the same thing but its just one of those fights he is just fighting to stay busy but it just so happens that opponent they put infront of him actually wants to win. I would still pick him to beat Kessler, he would up his game to the level he showed in the Andrade rematch.

Magee is not a bad fighter. He also gave Froch trouble, and hes gotten better since then.

Bute is flawed, but overall probably the best offensive fighter at 168.

I think Froch is the most rugged force and straight-out offensive fighter in the SMW div. Bute is just better overall.

I disagree. Bute is faster and a harder puncher than Froch. his ability to KO opponents not only to the head but also to the body also surpasses Froch, who has to for the most part beat up his opponents over time.

Froch has more ring smarts and defense, and overall more complete a fighter since he can fight on the inside and outside. Bute mostly just fights one way, and is dangerous at many different points in the fight with his offensive capabilities.

His opponent fought southpaw, let go some sneaky punches, was awkward and had heart. So it gave Bute some trouble.

It took Bute a bit longer to solve this guy but he still did what he had to do. At the end of the day, he won in impressive fashion. Those body punches were vicious and he did connect with a few uppercuts that did in his opponent. Another thing that impressed me about Bute is that he realized that he couldn't do the usual things he does with this guy so he changed it up a bit and was using the occassional right hook to keep his opponent honest.

Bute did get caught at times and needs to be careful the way he keeps his right hand so low

There was nothing awkward about Magee. He wasnt even throwing punches. Bute is gonna get run through by Froch and Ward. His claim to fame is Andrade who is decent but totally one dimensional. He still almost got knocked out in a fight he was winning. His defense is bad and i cant see him changing before he has a run in with some real comp.

I was not impressed at all with him last night,he ate a lot of nasty counters from a guy who was there to make him look good.If he would have fought Kessler last night he would have left on a stretcher.

you won't talk about how Magee was landing at will flush in Froch's mouth though

Bute was very impressive last night, he got hit with a couple flush shots, the rest was barely touching him

Kessler would have gotten ko'ed last night, just as will be the case if he ever makes the mistake of stepping i n the ring with a fight so superior to him

most guys wouldnt get up from any of those body shots
a guy who wasnt in top condition (which magee was) and tough as nails, would have been out there many rounds before magee was stopped





a shopworn kessler's certainly not running through the guy that fought brian magee on saturday with ease.

I got as much edough as any of you fools in this thread want on bute vs kessler, and I got bute.

Everyone was just waking on bute not to blow someone out to jump on his shi t. Meanwhile their Heroes ward (especially) can go the distance wit scrubs like pantera and Allan green.

It was VERY obvious that he was just toying with him. I mean he did get hit by a couple of nice left hand that suprised him but from the middle on he showed his slickness, barely even getting touched and beat Magee up bad

I also have Bute beating Kessler and im a big kessler fan
