Comments Thread For: Pacquiao, Arum To Discuss Marquez November Trilogy

I think Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, is sending a subliminal message out to fight fans. Reading between the lines, I see the message as this: Get ready for the inevitable Juan Manuel Marquez-Mannny Pacquaio Trilogy, maybe as soon as November.

If no Mayweather, make this fight happen at 140lbs.

marquez is pretty much as good as a fighter can be at 38. but is past his prime thats for sure. thats not say he still doesn't have it because he has shown us that he does. but i have always had the feeling that they would give him the third fight once they thought he was slowing down. the fact of the matter is this fight should have happened in 2009. it would have been another great fight. it would have been a much better fight then the one that will happen in november imo. but we will see what happens marquez might be able to compete with pacquiao for on last time. but if pac and roach demand the fight at 147 and don't compromise at weight around 140, i will lose all respect for manny. i used to be a huge fan but his cherry picking has caused me to lose respect for a man that used to be a must watch fighter. i realize he is the champion but most of his fights lately have demanded his opponents to come down in weight. if he wont do it for marquez thats bull**** and i dont buy that bull**** that he has to starve himself to make 140, he isn't a natural welterweight.

Agreed, with Martinez ******* complain that Manny is a natural JWW, so for them to make the argument that this fight should be at the full WW limit is total nonsense.

Lets reverse their complains they made against Cotto, against Margarito he only weighted 144.5, so can easily make JWW limit. However they should fight at a catchweight 142-143 for Manny's WBO belt

The fight is not even signed and you already giving Marquez some excuse if he lost to Pac?! The "Top Guy" in boxing (which is Pac) will tell the "Bottom Guys" (the rest of the fighters out their) whats the deal is and it's not the other way around?!
