So Nate wasn't moving up in weight to fight Ortiz, and wasn't past his prime? Urango had just one a title at junior welter and actually looked bigger than Berto in the ring.

Compare Matthysse vs Harris to Ortiz vs Harris and look at who was much more dominant. That's part of the reason I give Ortiz the benefit of the doubt when he said the double gaughs wrap affected him in the Peterson fight which he shoulda won and almost KO'd Peterson.
I don't think Ortiz is better than Collazo.

The fight was debatable as far as who won ( i had it a draw), but that wasn't what i was getting at. He said that Ortiz is the best opponent that Berto is fighting up to this date, and i think that Collazo (the version that fought Berto) is better than Ortiz.

You would be correct to think Collazo is better then Ortiz..Cause he is,Ortiz is all hype his so called tools/skill has never been shown against a world class opponent..

Real talk why do ppl mention Campbell as a significant win?

              Carlos Maussa TKO1
              Mike Arnaoutis TKO2
              Antonio Diaz TKO7
              Vivian Harris TKO3
Lamont Peterson (Ortiz was robbed) Draw

Seem to be Ortiz's notable wins

              Berto's notable wins are

              Miguel Rodriguez TKO7
              Steve Forbes UD12*
              Luis Collazo UD12
              Juan Urango UD 12
              Carlos Quintana TKO8

Carlos Maussa was coming off 2 losses in a roll.

Mike Arnaotis lost to Kendall Holt.

Lamont Peterson (Ortiz got a gift draw)

                Like I said earlier.

"The record of Victor Ortiz is equivalent to Julio César Chávez Jr.'s record.

Victor Ortiz fought a blown up Roberto David Arrieta at light welterweight.

Victor Ortiz fought Hector Alatorre who had up 8 losses on his record.

Victor Oritz fought shot and previously retired Antonio Díaz at a catchweight.

Victor Ortiz fought a shot and blown up Nate Campbell at light welterweight.

Victor Ortiz fought a shot Vivian Harris, who was coming off a loss to Lucas Matthysse."

                Victor Ortiz's record sucks.

It's pretty ******ed for Berto to compare his adversity with Collazo a light puncher, compared to Ortiz facing adversity with a hard punching Maidana lol you guys need to consider one thing though. Ortiz has grown out of his body and is moving to 147. Meaning that he is getting closer to his physical prime. His power and speed at this weight and his ability to take a punch will be greater at this age and at this weight change. This time Ortiz's hand wraps won't get ****ed with by the comission who changed the rules to protect Khan's chin against Maidana.

We never seen Ortiz fight a 147lb fighter at the weight we don't even know how his punches will effect Berto..TBH there is a lot of unknown things to consider in this fight..Berta's chin,Ortiz weak mental status, will Ortiz bring his power to 147lb,will Berta's holding throw off Ortiz??There are far more questions with Ortiz then Berta, most likely Berta off Ortiz and goes back into hiding..

With a big upper body frame Ortiz can afford to apply extra leg muscle for the Berto fight at 146. Ortiz' punching power will increase far more than when he was fighting Maidana at 140 two years ago. He's getting closer to his physical prime that's why I expect him to take Berto's shots a lot better and since he doesn't have to cut so much weight he will be able to have more stamina and energy. His hand speed won't change though. I predict Ortiz weighing in at 158 on fight night.
