Victor Ortiz is not that good. He has a very poor defence. He had absolutely no answer to Maidanas right hand. He was completely unable to use his feet to keep himself out of Maidanas reach. Hell, even Lamont Peterson started to get the better of Ortiz in the second half of the fight. He just has very poor D. Great speed, good power. But not overly accurate.

The myth Ortiz fans delude themselves with is that Ortiz could out box Maidana given another chance.

Ortiz is stuck between two worlds. He doesn't have the technique or skills to be a great boxer and he doesn't have the heart to a brawler.

Last year according to nsb Khan was a bum,now people are swinging from his nutsack,maybe Ortiz had a bad night and just plain under estimated Maidana .

Well, it wasn't just Maidana it was also Peterson.

Now I don't know how hard Berto hits when compared to Maidana, but I know Berto hits harder than Peterson. He's also faster, and more explosive, which will add to the power.

ALSO, another thing Peterson did that clearly bothered Ortiz, CLINCHED... And we all know damn skippy that Berto will clinch a mu'****a
