Also, one other quick thought. Arum never once put Donaire on the Pacquiao undercards. Every Filipino I know who buys the Pac fights and loves Pacman has never even heard of Donaire. The thing is Bob knew not one extra person would buy any Pac PPV if Donaire was on the card so because he didn't see extra $$$, he shelved him to crappy Pinoy Power PPVs. But that would have been a huge way to help promote Donaire as the heir to Filipino boxing when Manny retires. This could also have been a contributing factor with Donaire leaving Top Rank...

LOL yea, I'm also sure Victor Ortiz and Amir Khan hang out every weekend and discuss last week's lecture on Solar Fusion.

Incorrect. Arum tried to put Donaire on Pac/Margarito's undercard, then Pac had Arum take Donaire off. Pacquiao had wanted Donaire to sign with Pacquiao Promotions, and because he refused, he didn't want Nonito fighting on his undercards.

This was in the headlines on BS at some poin in the past six months...

Yeah, makes no sense when you break it down. I think Nonito is being unrealistic about his star status and his worth. A bantamweight who's never been a draw and is just now getting a bit of mainstream attention thinks he deserves 500K-1 mil per fight? Maybe if he moved up and took on higher profile fights/fighters.

I think in a year or 2 when Gamboa and Juanma are headlining major PPV cards and Nonito is stuck on HBO BAD and looking for worthy opponents and those million dollar paydays Oscar promised, he's going to feel really ******. He'll be sitting on his couch, scratch that, the half of his couch Rachel leaves behind, watching Lopez-Gamboa break the record for most buys below welter and he'll think 'damn, that could've been me ' Makes sense if he plans on staying at 118, but he'd squeeze maybe 2 major fights out of it max.

But best of luck to Nonito either way.

Another reason why this is great news is that Arum will now be forced to cooperate with Golden Boy if he wants any of his guys to fight Donaire.

**** that old bastard, he needs to learn that he doesn't run boxing.

Yeah Arum should've definitely given Donaire more exposure and putting him as the lead-up fight to Pac would've been the logical thing to do, but I've read that Koncz is the reason that never happened because Nonito refused to have that scumbag as his 'adviser'.

Don't know if it's true, wouldn't surprise me if it was though.
