Roach clearly says for the Pac to take the fight with Shane he wants a 143 catch weight.

    Now get your facts right.
it was not an official proposal, they did not ask mosley to go down in that catch weight. it was one of roach's numerous interviews and throwing numbers around.

i believe mosley said at one point that he'd go down as low as 140 but still was not considered. there was never a negotiation, shane was simply never an option at that time.

my point still stands. mosley was not in consideration cause arum wanted a top rank opponent for pacquiao. not because pacquiao "fears" him.

And Shane was willing to go that low too. He was told that he was "too good".

Mosley didn't start saying all that until Pacquiao and Cotto were pretty much decided they were going to fight each other. What was Pacquiao supposed to do, stop negotiating with Cotto when the fight was pretty much set to go through the same process with Mosley?

honestly though, they would have proposed the fight to 140 and shane would take the fight.

they wanted an in house fight, plain and simple

Funny how 2 unimpressive performances have gone a long way in changing there mind. It wouldn't surprise me if this fight wouldn't have even been made even at this point if Mosley had looked anything other than terrible against Mora.

didnt cotto beat mosley. roach said after cotto they would have fought mosley but he signed to fight berto. pac cant fight everyone, and at that time cotto was the best option because they had the same promoter.

i wanted the margarito for the entertainment.
Margarito was a **** fight, Clottey was a **** fight, Mosley was a **** fight. End of story. Three **** fights, all on PPV. Manny is just milking the public and his fans are too busy "defending his honor." At least you are admitting that he must **** or get off the pot. He's done **** all for his legacy these past couple years. Plenty for his pockets at the expense of guess who?

Shane stated that after the Margarito fight he could've fought under whatever banner he felt like. So that excuse is just...an excuse.

Sometimes I just don’t get some of you guys. The fight isn’t great, get that out of the way. But, is it really that wrong to want to outdo somebody? So because Shane Mosley has been beat by Forrest (2x), Wright (2x), Miguel Cotto and Floyd Maywather, I guess that means Manny shouldn’t strive to win because it’s already in the bag? It’s like some of you just sit there, waiting for something, anything to b*tch about. Aren’t these statements obvious enough where they don’t actually need to be said or heard? We already know Manny (by Koncz account) will want to outdo those that have beaten Mosley, the same way Mosley will look to outdo Morales in Pacquiao. How is this a surprise?
