If Pac and May don't fight each other, then Mayweather should take a stab at Martinez at 154 and Pac should have his pick of the up and comers at 140.

Mayweather should be in the lead to fight Martinez at 154 because he's closer to that weight than Manny, but manny has compete at 154 before unless we now want to call his time there a fraud.

Secondly, I dont see Pac facing a non-Arum fighter, I dont see him fighting Bradley at 140-147 unless Bradley (If he beats Khan) signs for Arum..

      get your facts straight
Again untrue Mosley said there was no way he could make that catch weight, but you are right he was begging for the fight when he went to the wild card gym he asked Roach why do you want me to come down so much in weight and not Cotto, Roach replied ''your not Cotto''

      I distinctly remember that

Well he beat an untested 147 lbs for a title that non really earned, but honestly i wouldn't consider Pac a jmw simply cause he could barely walk into the ring that night as a ww, he was what 144 at the weigh-in?

Sadly you are right though, it's politics more then anything else that's keeping Pacquiao from fighting the best, but there's only so much fans can take of Pac being fed home grown TR fighter who don't stand a chance.

did i say that floyd being longer in the division is the only reason why those events happen? did i say it applies to all of their similar opponents? no

its just one of the factors.

look at the de la hoya and hatton fight. floyd fought them when pacquiao was around 130-135 and floyd was already competing as a welterweight. well, no **** he's gonna fight them first. pacquiao is not even in that weight class yet.

now, those "leftovers" stuck around welterweight. and manny climbed the weight, chances are he's gonna fight a few of them. that, plus he fought clottey, cotto, and margarito.

mosley was the one proposing catchweights. team pacquiao never proposed a weight with mosley.

they wanted an in house fight, hence no mosley-pac at that time.

Yeah, Manny can't fault the fact that he fought Oscar and Hatton after Floyd did. Doesn't make it any better. And we agree on Shane. Just a sham fight. Out of the other three fights you mentioned, the Cotto fight was the only notable one. Margarito was a has been who hadn't looked good in forever and Clottey was a has been/never will be.

Again Roach said at the time he wanted Mosley to come down to 142/143lbs for the fight to be possible becaquse and i quote ''Shane is not Cotto''

Roach clearly says for the Pac to take the fight with Shane he wants a 143 catch weight.

                Now get your facts right.

fighting a left over? what is this non-sense all about? what if you have fighter A who beat fighter B; and A wants to fight C who was previously ko'd by B - using the left over non-sense, is it 100% certain A will beat C? i don't think so...

yes, there were fighters more deserving than clottey and fights that i would have preferred. but its not as bad as some people make it out to be considering some where arguing that clottey beat cotto, and was pacquiao's debut fight at the 147 limit after the de lohoya side show fight. not really one of his great wins but it is what it is.

i wanted the margarito for the entertainment.
