Mayweather is NOTHING LIKE CLOTTEY first of all because Clottey can't move like Mayweather, nor does he have the footwork of a Mayweather...Clottey is extremely FLAT FLOOTED, he has no bounce or footwork

Mayweather is not just going to stand in front of him opponent and keep taking punishment, Mayweather defense is more about his MOVEMENTS and making you miss him and if you watch his feet he keeps moving and nobody slips punch better then Mayweather, also he can counter anything you do, so to go in their with Mayweather and to SWING WILDLY would be a HUGE MISTAKE!

your likely a Pacquiao fan and your looking for reasons as to why you think Pacquiao can beat Mayweather which is fine but...you have to do better then this lol

Clottey and Mayweather shouldn't even be mention in the same breath LOL

it is different types of defenses, you have guys that cover up, more like a Turtle Shell...guys like Arthur Abraham, Joshua Clottey as well as Winky Wright in his Prime, then you have guys with more of a stick and move type defense, guys who can pop you with a Jab and be out of the way before you try to counter, guys like Mayweather, Ray Leonard, Sweet Pea, also Gamboa and Rigondeaux or course lol just to name a few...most casual boxing fans hate them because their object IS to make the fight boring and one sided, they are not trying to get into a "WAR", they want to put on a ONE SIDED Boxing Clinic then in the later round when their opponents is tired, then they MIGHT open up more and may try to go for the finish if they can do so without RISK

it is hard to keep your Work Rate up and do all these things you did against other fighters when your actually MISSING PUNCHES, some guys just have that natural reflex and just can telegraph your punches and pretty much know what you are going to do before you do it and they can get out of the way and make you look ******, missing punches can not only frustrate you but he can also wear you down

and getting popped in the face with counters.

Pac didn't throw 1,000 punches against marquez for a reason. Nor did Pavlik throw 80 punches a round against Bhop, etc.

Pac would have to fight floyd smart. He would pic his opportunities. He couldn't simply overwhelm floyd with punches (that would actually be an idiotic strategy!)

Joshua Clottey is not a good counter puncher nor is he on Floyd's level in almost every catergory.

So it's not a great comparison.
