the problem with P4P rankings is its like our butts. Every boxing fan has one and most likely everyone's list differs.

I'm basing my comments on the Ring magazine's list.

According to ring magazine, Pac is still #1 P4P as of March 6, 2011 and has been in the list for an unmatched 379 weeks!

the closest anyone is to that number is Juan Manuel Marquez at 208.

floyd jr is listed at #2 and has been in the list for only 77 weeks.

i CANNOT say for sure that this means pac has been #1 longer than floyd jr. since the list only says how long they've been in the P4P list, NOT how long they've been in their current position, since people tend to go up and down the list, depending on their performance.

but if i would bet, i'm pretty sure it would be safe to say that Pac has been #1 longer than floyd.

    UPDATE:

hmmmm.... pac has been #1 P4P at ring magazine since nov 11, 2008, and remained there until now.

    http://www.east side boxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103560

    so simplifying that :

    nov 11, 2008 to dec 31, 2008 = 6 weeks #1 P4P
    whole of 2009 = 52 weeks #1 P4P
    whole of 2010 = 52 weeks #1 P4P = 110 weeks

so 2008 to 2010 ALONE pac has been #1 LONGER than floyd jr has been in the list (which is 77 weeks)

Straight blasting all of the top dogs at 160 (not at catchweights) as a small middleweight coming up from 154 most certainly can make you P4P #1. Especially when taking into account Manny's level of comp his past fight and next coming bout.

Pacquiao is slowly becoming irrelavant he needs to stop cherry picking

Move over Pacroid because Sergio, Nonito, and many more are here to fight and fight the best at their best. Floyd & Manny need to go away their time is up.

You might as well consider Martinez a ******* as well since HE thinks Pac is #1, he's #2 and Floyd jr #3, and ALSO considers the Pac/Mosley fight legit!

Yeah I agree Sergio is on a run Pac and Floyd had their chance to cement themselves but egos stopped that. I say they both should be taken off the p4p list until they fight each other.

what are you talking about. pc should dust shane off. shane is shot to ****. this fight has no bearing on anything

I wouldn't go as far as labeling this dude delusional but I think Sergio is realy going beyond his achievements. Plus his head is being fed by his delusional promoter in DiBella. Honestly, I've never heard of Dzinziruk prior to this fight. Can you imagine what criticism Pacquiao would have had if he fought some undefeated Joe Schmakately from Mongolia? Besides, P4P is about beating the odds, defying the weigh scale, and winning in unimaginable fashion. It's a measure of who wins if SIZE being EQUAL. Let me put it in perspective. Picture the outcome had Margarito didn't outweigh Pacquiao by 17 pounds. The result would make the Martinez win over Dzinziruk very lame. Honestly, I thought the Donaire victory over Montiel was more impressive. If he wants to be No. 1, he needs to call out (he doesn't really have to) or challenge bigger guys. Then I'll reconsider. Sergio calling out Pac and May is like Pac and May calling out Donaire. Look at it without bias and hate and just think about it. What would he prove by beating natural lightweight in Pacquiao at 154? He wants to fight Pacquiao at his natural weight and then take credit? That's funny! Sergio needs to STFU before people completely lose respect for him. He needs to at least beat the 168-pounders to be even considered as having achieved something comparable to what Pacquiao has done. Is he afraid of the Andre Wards and Lucian Bute's? I wanna see him drop his hands down to his waist and showboat against this dudes. Maybe once he feels the pain of challenging bigger guys, he will be a little more reserved in comparing himself to the real P4P king.

Simple as that - The Ring will make the correct decision and relegate the Congroidsman to 2nd place.
