Hatton was the lineal champ, and Pavlik was coming off a very long lay-off and still hadn't really recovered from his humiliation against Hopkins, so he was about as weak a lineal champ as any lineal champ has ever been.

To be a good lineal champion you don't only have to beat the previous lineal champion, you also have to defend against the top contenders (unless you're moving to a higher weight class). And Martinez hasn't defended against a single genuine Middleweight yet.

I agree being P4P is something others bestow upon you by your body of work . Hate to see Sergio taking the Mayweather route of boasting and talking himself up . Show some class Sergio , win it in the ring not in the press . Mayweather should not be ranked since he will not fight .

Martinez is really a funny comedian, a real hardsell too *lol*. And some ****** folks will believe him ... that's the essence of a hard sell.

I can admit that I don't know for sure so just prove it. I doubt highly that Manny was higher than Floyd Mayweather Jr on the P4P list prior to Floyd retiring.

Jeez, I used to like this guy. But now, he got swell headed already. Beating PAVLIK, WILLIAMS and DZINZIRUK won't make you number 1.

He has a point. I favor Martinez against any opponent around his weight. He has fought fighters in their prime and at their weight in a very impressive fashion

Don't hate sergio because he would walk through floyd or manny at this point. Easy fights. He is big(not as big as margs) but it's his skill and speed that would be the factors in this one.

Only, if manny sergio ever did happen, sergio would have to stop with the hands down crap!!!!!!!!!!!

sergio is too big for pac, pacs frame just isnt big enough to fight sergio even tho

he fought for and won a belt at 154....

more importantly, sergio beats floyd mayweather to death

no way floyd can keep up with the speed, skill and starching power of sergio..
