i read to page 3, so far, but i couldnt hold in my comments anymore...

i actually think manny would win this 1. hell, even if martinez came in, on fight night, weighing more than 160; manny still wins. the heavier martinez, the slower martinez.
weight aside, however, manny's foot work is too fast and his hands r too quick. pacman is also more conditioned (more stamina).

the only disadvantage manny has, imo, is power; and i dont even think that stat discrepency is as large as most of u might think

martinez leaves his hands down way too often, and he was looking alil gased this past saturday

i would love to bet on manny, one night soon, against martinez

oh, and fyi, i love martinez as a boxer! truly my 2nd favorite active boxer

If there are people here that think Manny can beat Martinez then what's the problem? YOu got some people in this forum, and there aren't many of them, that believe Manny would still beat Martinez because he's just that good, has more speed and great footwork then why not get fight done?

I agree with them on Sergio's FOTY award, but that's the point. I agree with them because I think that Sergio's win was more spectacular than Pac's wins. I don't just regurgitate whatever the current writers at Ring magazine are saying.

Good post.. some like to voice their opinions without having to look to others for validation. Some speak for themselves, while others go by others words.. Why am I not surprised?

I don't see Sergio getting down to 147, the only weight at which this fight makes any sense at all. Otherwise its just the old "good big man beats good small man" screnario, and the outcome is pre determined.

There was a reason that Ali never fought Tommy Hearns.

I'm not sure if you're ****** or what!

Ask your self, if you're a boxer, would you be willing to fight guys a lot bigger than you are?

Most boxer would withdraw from a fight even only 1 or 2 lbs over the weight!

Pac has shown that he's willing to fight guys who most of the time outweighs him! THAT SHOWED THAT HE HAS BALLS!

Comparing Martinez and Margarito is like night & day...
I must admit at this stage Martinez shown that his far more skillfull than Margarito and even bigger (even though, he was beaten by this man before).....

If you're in Pac shoes, would you be willing to concede all the advantages to Martinez???

Pac will fight Martinez at 147 lbs ( or even 150 lb maybe)...
If Pac turns down this, then I must think he's scare of Sergio!

Unless Sergio can make this weight... he should stop dreaming this fight!!!

for real, pac didnt even weighed the catchweight limit they set when he fought margarito for the jr.middle title..

and now people expect pac to go up to 154 and fight a guy who would literaly weigh in at 170 come fight night?

pac haters want to see this fight not because itll "expose pac" on his #1 p4p stake, but rather on the basis that if it happens, Martinez will have every single advantage over pac on that weight..

like team pac said, they are open to fighting martinez if hes willing to go down to 150~151 (which he says is imposible) otherwise he can just keep dreaming on getting the highest payday he can ever get on boxing

I would love to see this fight but it def wont ever happen! Pacs to small and Martinez prob cant even make 154lbs and i guarantee that Team Pac will demand the fight at catch weight of 147.1 hahah for the 154 title to drain Martinez so that hes weak, & useless, just like Team Pac always does. If it happens at an actually weight class with no demands to give pac an advantage, then Martinez puts Pac to sleep withing 6rds!
