He's clearly shot. Inactive for over 2 years been overweight for how long.

To say he's a better version of the Mayorga who fought Shane is preposterous.

No one called Mosley impressive after that fight. No one.
I didnt' say he was better I said he was the same but in better shape. Mayorga won the first 3 rounds against Mosley easily was hitting Mosley at will but started to run out of gas.

The funny thing is people here were hyping Mosley after he beat Marg and forgot the ugly fight he did with Mayorga HELL SOME PEOPLE SAID MOSLEY WOULD'VE BEAT PAC AT THAT TIME now we have people saying Cotto looked horrible. The fact is Mayorga was MUCH MUCH bigger than Cotto and was in MUCH better shape than when he fought Mosley and wasn't that tired at the end.

I brought up the same issue right after the fight. The only excuse you're gonna hear is it was two years ago. He looked as good as I ever saw him. And Mosley did look much worse. Not to mention Cotto handed Mosley his ass right before that fight. Plain and simple Cotto fought a very smart tactical fight and closed the show. But we're surrounded by boxing geniuses. If you cant see the obvious then how can you be an expert on the intricate?

Mayorga of that fight is pretty much the same as this past saturday's Mayorga, except one was in shape.
          You can't be serious.

The guy hasn't fought in over 2 years. Mayorga is possibly the most unlikely guy to come back the same after that long a lay off let alone looking remotely better.

Mayorga was pretty much done when he fought Mosley. When he fought Cotto, he was shot.

But he's not the same fighter.

People can't honestly believe a fighter like Mayorga coming off a two year lay off is going to be the same fighter.

He said it's time to retire after the fight for a reason.

People attempting to legitamize this fight seriously can't be happening.

Nobody is saying he wasn't shot he was in better shape that's it. Mayorga wasn't that inactive he was training for a MMA fight then for the Walker fight I don't think he trained that much but it was something against Mosley he wasn't even throwing in the last 3 rounds.

Mayorga relies on bullying guys and throwing bombs at you and he was able to do that for a longer period of time with Cotto 'cause he was in better shape. So you think he lost his defensive skills with age or his incredible hands speed?????? LOL You lose reflexes and speed with age not power look at Goerge Foreman.

Yeah same ol Mayorga to me who styled on Tito in little spurts untill he got KO'd; got beat up by DLH but landed lucky haymakers as always; beat a way past his prime Vargas and subsequently got KO'd by Mosley who he was able to style on too..The only difference i saw was more stamina and determination from him. At the end of the day it was a good test for Cotto..
