Realistically, who's left at 147 that isn't damaged goods or completely unproven? I'm not going to argue Pacquiao's pound for pound status. That's a culmination of every fight and division he's been in since he blitzed Barrera, and his run was impressive (Morales I aside, and even that was a war, not exactly a complete shut out). There's no fighter that everyone would unanimously praise Pacquiao for fighting except Mayweather. Welter is a mess, and 140 is starting to thin out, too. We have Khan and Bradley as the only two left who haven't recently shown themselves to be limited recently, and they're on a collision course.

The only fight left for Pacquiao is Mayweather or the Khan/Bradley winner. He shouldn't go any higher.

it's clear that martinez is fighting at a high level and that he belongs in the top 5, but he ain't on pac or wifebeate's level yet

He's a tremendous fighter. He's certainly above Floyd, on activity and opposition, but Pacquiao is still very active and still toying with weight advancement and looking dominant. Whether or not you agree with his opposition, he hasn't done anything short of demolish who they put in front of him. He doesn't lose his number one status until he turns out a **** performance or loses. That's the benefit of being on the top. Number two is more easily displaced. That's true across the board, not just in boxing.

It's the way of the world, kid.
Best fighter in the world yes, Opposition? Disagree why? Too much cherrypicking and fighting NAME fighters on the way down, shot or done.. When his the last time he fought a fighter coming off an impressive win? When is the last time Pac fought anyone who is perceive a genuine threat?

What has Pac done lately? Well Martinez has done all of those things in his last 4 fights..So i definitely have him over anyone at the moment, Pac use to be like that but now nah?
