I think Cotto KO's Margarito in 6 or 7 rounds.

Cotto looked like a high-mileage fighter tonight. I have a feeling he wont have the toughness to deal with marg. We already know he cant get away from getting hit.

Mayorga is coming off a 2 year retirement. In which his last fight prior to it was knocked out.

      He's not the same fighter.

i would give it a 45/55 chances when Margarito and Cotto fight. if Margarito will show up the way he did against Pac i think he has a chance. Cotto is vulnerable fighting a guy who throw a lot of big punches. but i still give it to Cotto though.

Can't argue with anything you've said in this thread. I thought Cotto looked good in this fight and that Mayorga was pretty gotdamned quick w/his combos. Especially early on. Only thing that might disrupt your reasoning is that Cotto still leans his chin over his front foot too much sometimes and Marg might have enough uppercut left if Cotto ain't really careful about this flaw. Sure Manny and him will work on it some more.

            War Cotto!

He has never been that elusive so that cant be the factor in calling Cotto shot. He got hit at 140 and at 147 and 154 he's fighting better guys. He took the shots well and thats all I was looking to see.

Yeah he was leaning that head against Pac too. I wish Manny Steward could fix that.

Are you loking at how he fought or simply saying time=automatic lost step. To me Mayorga looked well prepared but ran into a better prepared boxer.

I haven't seen the Cotto vs Mayorga fight yet, but from what I read he didnt look to good against Mayorga.

What makes you think he can KO Margarito in 6-7 rounds?

Its good to see that there are non-bias puerto ricans out there. It will be a good fight. If Cotto come to the fight in excellent condition he could win, but i see Marg or even Angulog etting to him in the late rounds. These guys just keep on coming!

A shot Mayorga... he was hardly the same as the one that fought Shane.
