I think Cotto KO's Margarito in 6 or 7 rounds.

You dont take a beating like Pac put on Antonio and come back the same. If Cotto lands those same shots he did in their first meeting he'll see results. Its not new for Mayorga to go rounds with top guys. He was actually way more crisp than I expected and Cotto had him missing a lot. He got caught with a couple shots but no real trouble the whole fight. If he keeps it in the middle he spanks Margarito. That rope action is what got him in trouble and it looks like he worked on that.

Cotto was never in any danger so what are you talking bout.
I'm talking about Cotto's face...I don't know if he bruises up pretty easily but it was bruised up tonight....and Mayorga was throwing punches like my sister with those rabbit punches he throws...I thought Cotto was gonna whoop him before the 5th....and Mayorga pretty much pussied out in the 12th with that phony hand injury...

Im saving names a list of names of the people who thinks Cotto's shot from watching this fight. After he beats Margarito watch the excuses flow.

I can see Margz being put away with a cotto recommitment to body shots. I've never seen anybody take the consecutive beatings Margz has taken since and including the cotto fight. The accumulation of damage spares no man. The Tornado has been primed to crack soon.

If it wasn't for the severity of the beatings he received from Shane and Pac, I would have Margz winning a cotto rematch based on styles.

Well we know he has a history of swelling and cutting pretty easily so that cant be the measure of what happened in the fight.

Thats what I was saying. Cotto has taken his share of gloves to the face but looks to be the fresher of the fighters between the two.

It's hard to look good against Mayorga. He has a wild unpredictable style and I agree, that Cotto looked better than Mosley in beating Mayorga. As for Margarito? Without his plaster wraps, he is nothing. Cotto by UD.

Yeah, that was over 2 years ago. Mayorga isn't close to being the same fighter he was then.

He stayed off the ropes because Mayorga isn't an utter pressure fighter like Margarito is.

The showing showed that he is a shell of the man I once considered one of the best fighters in the world.

Two tears ago Mayorga didnt look any better. To me he looked better tonight. He was pretty patient and it had a lot to do with Cotto winning exchanges. Cotto's jab looked great and if nothing else Steward showed him to preserve energy. Like I keep saying he had a strong two rounds left in those legs and Tony Rony has lost a step since too.
