I wouldn't have a problem with this if Berto had been in a tough fight recently but he hasn't had a hard fight in over 2 years and that was the only tough fight in his whole career. Also he's now been a World Champion for nearly THREE YEARS!!! Make him fight somebody already. Matthew Hatton isn't even the best Welterweight in England, Kell Brook would destroy him.

I agree, if Berto had already had fights against some of the tougher guys at 147, such as Mosely, Cotto, Cintron, Williams, etc, then there would be no problem with this type of fight. BUT, he hasn't. It's been 1 Matthew Hatton type of fighter after another. Other than fighting Collazo, there hasn't been 1 fighter Berto's fought as a champ that had even a 10% chance of beating him - Forbes, Urango, Hernandez - c'mon. Ortiz isn't a terrible fight; but I'd still be very suprised if Ortiz won. Berto needs a challenge, and M, Hatton is not a challenge!

Berto's opponents are such a joke. When the hell is he going to step up and prove that he deserves to be a champion. I don't even care if its not one of the established names, I just want to see him against a live opponent...

this sounds unreal to some of you but my money is on hatton
he gave up 15lbs to canelo and had no firepower to keep him off
plus he withstood some devestating body shots and punches to the head
there were a few body shots that made me cringe on my couch and he took
them and kept fighting hard to the end
berto is very limited, i think hatton out boxes him
