European welterweight champion Matthew Hatton was told by Golden Boy Promotions CEO, Richard Schaefer, that he'll try to get him a shot at WBC champion Andre Berto, possible in the summer. Berto is going to defend his title against Golden Boy fighter Victor Ortiz on April 16. Hatton put on such a gutsy performance in his loss to Saul Alvarez last Saturday in Anaheim, California, that HBO wants to bring him back in another big fight.

Mathew isnt a bum, hes a good little fighter. Your right, though, he has no business fighting for another world title. Andre Berto would smack him around as bad as Alvarez did, probably. No interest in that fight.
