You obviously haven't read any of this thread. We've already gone into that in great detail over seven pages and you pop up and don't bother to read the thread and post idiotic statements that have already been rebutted in great detail pages and pages ago. There are hundreds of fighters with better resumes than Cotto who are not in the HoF (including many multi-division titlists), and there is absolutely no one in the HoF who has never been a lineal champion in any division and who has only been ranked #1 in any division for a single fight. No one. Paper titles don't mean shit. It's you who seriously needs to get educated.

You're talking rubbish. This year's inductees in the Modern era category were Julio César Chávez, Kostya, Tszyu and Mike Tyson. All were very deserving. There is no boxer in the HoF who has never been a lineal champion and who has only ever been ranked #1 in any division for a single fight, as is the case with Cotto. And as you say Cotto is the most deserving of the names on the list, but he hasn't a hope in hell of getting in on his current record.

Cotto at the moment would be the only HOF tbh..He has fought everyone win or lose and he has some very impressive wins..The rest just come up short imo..

As has been pointed out over and over again in this thread, McGuigan did not get in because of his boxing record, he got in solely because of the impact he had on the sport outside the ring. Cotto has not had anything like such an impact outside the ring. And in any case, he was the lineal champion, unlike Cotto.

There is no one in the Hall of Fame who has never been a lineal champion and who has only been ranked #1 in any division for a single fight. It is nowhere near as easy to get in as you pretend. If it was, you wouldn't be bringing up a fighter who got in for reasons that had nothing to do with his record in the ring, but the truth is you brought him up because he was the only fighter you could think of, which shows how weak your point was.
