I saw you put Chokchai and started thinking all this time I've been calling him the wrong name, so I checked boxrec.

That mother****er is already going by another name. These Thais and their sponsors.
    I think so.

People say he shouldn't because he only fights in Asia but he has consistently beating top fighters and has been utterly dominant at Flyweight. The man gets no recognition to be honest, it's frustrating. I mean, he has only just been considered a Top 10 P4P fighter in 2010 after all his years of dominance. It bothers me.

Personally I think he absolutely deserves to be in the HOF win or lose against Sosa. He is at the very least a HOF Flyweight IMO.

    What do you think?

I don't have a problem with him fighting solely in Asia.

If he gets in, it's going to be on the basis on his longevity. IMO, he's never beaten another great fighter, but there are solid fighters on his resume, sprinkled in between all the stay busy fights over no hopers. He was the lineal champion for a long time.

A few years back I think Arce was his mandatory or because he was some International WBC champ, Wonjongkam was due to fight him. I think had the fight come off and he won it, he'd have gotten more recognition. I think there was some interest from Darchinyan in fighting Wonjongkam, that would have been another good fight for him.

BTW, I think he made into The Ring's P4P Top Ten a while back, maybe around 2006?

He didn't. He just got entered into the top 10 P4P for the first time in 2010.

It will be longevity but his longevity is enough IMO. He has been utterly dominant and has beaten the top fighters consistently for a long time. He doesn't have that career defining fight but I don't believe you need to to be considered a HOF'er.

In his next fight if he's impressive maybe he will take some bigger names but I can't see it.

Fair enough, I can agree with that.

What do you think of the chances of other flyweights, like Johnson and Arbachakov?

Considering Johnson's longevity I don't see why not. He has 7 defences at Flyweight and 4 defences at Super Flyweight. Dominant at Flyweight and has some good wins at Super Fly. I wouldn't say sure fire at all but I wouldn't complain. Kinda similar to Wonjongkam really.

Arbachakov I'm not to sure considering he had such little fights. Then again he was also dominant at Flyweight. Has some very solid wins during his 9 defences aswell. But I think although the 9 defences his longevity will make him fall short.

I think he's had a world of talent and he's fun to watch but no way did he "consistently beat top fighters." His record is littered with cheap, bull**** title defenses against weak opposition. He's beaten a few decent fighters, like Miranda, Naito and certainly Kameda, but in his prime he didn't fight the best in the division and instead spent his time beating up lame opponents. Narvaez, who I also think is incredibly talented, fits in the same category, although he doesn't have a major win like Kameda.
These are some of top guys he never fought who were champions during his tenure as a beltholder: Eric Morel, Lorenzo Parra, Irene Pacheco, Vic Darchiyan, Nonito Donaire, Takefumi Sakata, Denkaosan Kaovichit and Narvaez.
IMO Wonjongkam and Narvaez would both have been competitive and maybe even beaten the top flyweights over the past decade, but the matchups never occurred and they never fought each other.

Great match up, just hoping the fight won't be held in the kingdom and would be in some neutral place. Oh well, just wishing.

Pong should be in the hof he set the record for most defenses in the flyweight division although those defenses came mostly against -500 fighters. He's been around for awhile but I'd like to see him fight in north or central America before he retires

Sosa has won four in a row since the two round TKO loss to Rodel Mayol in November 2009.
