that wasnt even my point...but since u brought it up, canelo is accustomed to fighting more than 4 times a year. he's champion now so fishing up faded champs like baldomir or encouraging smaller opponents to move up will only hurt him. canelo has to face top opposition...so what if he's young? vargas was barely a few months older and he fought the best his division had to offer win or lose

people are calling for him to fight world class opponents because he's a world champion. if he didnt want that responsibility he couldve declined fighting for it as early as he did

I tell you what when another title fight comes along with two undeserving challanger and the fighters say "nope sorry Im not deserving of a title shot I decline to fight for a title" then you can say that canelo should have declined his shot at a title. but since that is never gonna happen seriously shut up with that holier than thou baloney!

Seriously the ones who are responsiable for him having the title is Golden Boy and the WBC but you want to put all the blame on Canelo. How convinient!!!

thats true and i think roy jones said something like that during the fight,it's not canelo's fault,if there is fault it's the wbc or his promoter...jones said who wouldn't take that opportunity of a title shot...can't blame canelo for taking it,and it's not just the wbc,i think all organizations have some fault in them,

if being of the opinion its an honorable and respectable thing to pursue the title by coming up in the ranks then yeah panda's the dumbest out there

So, are you saying because he's just 20 years old he gets a pass? And do you think after he got the belt (not won the belt) it's all good and no need to defend it against the mandatories? I'm not blaming Canelo here, I'm just wishing for the best fight out there for the titleholder who happens to be Saul, he's a titleholder right?

i think this is a good tournament,but at the wrong moment,he waited until canelo was champ,don't like it but i like the fighters involved,as long as angulo is in it,it can't be boring,that guys comes to fight and give fans a great show,imagine him against williams? or against crybaby vanes....good fights but i do think it's to protect canelo though

Thats what I was thinking imagine Williams against Angulo that would be a war. It doesn't seem fair that guys like those 2 would have to fight for a shot at the belt while Canelo was handed his title but its not Canelos fault.

This is outrageous, Paul Williams needs to fight to be considered a worthy challenger for Saul Alvarez. Even Angulo for that matter. Vanes and Rhodes are both jokes but c'mon. I no longer recognize the WBC as a major sanctioning body.

i say screw the quibbleing. gbp and sulai were probably going to put alvarez in there easy next couple fights anyway.
